Has he said anything about Tall Paul’s mysterious disappearance? Just be transparent if we have a buyer in January and he’s off so we aren’t playing him anymore.
Had a bit of fatigue supposedly. Might have made Brighton & Chelsea but just missed out injured. Supposedly due back for Tottenham but we'll see. We're probably just keeping him risk free from getting injured tbh
He told the Echo reporter that he had lied about TP maybe being available for the Chelsea game because he was trying to give them something to think about. That worked well.
This comment from a match report sums us up nicely. “The goal should have sparked a dominant home win, but Villa lost focus and accuracy. It did not matter much as Southampton are masters of unthreatening possession, even when they go behind.”
Surely that is a lie though. Fatigue for playing what? 50 minutes several weeks ago. I’m not a doctor or sports scientist or anything but I’m calling bull on that being the reason he’s still out.
Yeah I agree it did. But then why say it’s just fatigue!? Just some honesty and transparency would be nice. Could probably get away with that if all was going well elsewhere, but it’s not a good look alongside all the other ****.
We've always been oddly secretive with injuries or at least going back a good number of years. Player takes a "minor knock" and then isn't seen for months.
The home performamces of late have shown some improvement and some decent personal performances. However, playing out frim.the back does not work and i do not think we ever look like scoring. I find Tall Paul to be A for effort but he reminds me a bit of Paul Moody. Martin is never going to use him to his advantage. Not convinced he is a good as some here believe.
He’s not great, but he offers something completely different, can hold the ball up, but most of all he’s fun to watch, and we need a bit of cheer.
Troy Deeney picked Martinez in his TOTW because he was the only keeper to keep a clean sheet. Did someone mention to him he didn't have to make a save?
