We'll keep on track with a 2-0 win. Kamil will skin Elphick repeatedly providing the assists or both Fraizer and Jayrod.

If and its if we beat Villa its a turnaround that beats the Great escape and 2008 play off run. Every team above us will have to know we mean business. Let it happen 2-nil to city..

The great thing at the moment is that we can really play without any real pressure. If we win today, great , if we don't, so be it. After been haunted by relegation for so long we're still not playing with any serious expectations of promotion and I think that's helping us play with the swagger which we currently have. You only have to look at some games under Bruce 3 seasons ago and today's opponents to see how the pressure of promotion candidates can weigh down on you and you fear making a mistake. Obviously if we remain within this chasing pack or emerge into the top 6 that will change but for now it feels like there really is no pressure now that the season's goal we had 8 weeks ago seems to be all but achieved. History is against us today but if we can keep it tight and get the home crowd on their backs we have every chance. First goal will be crucial.

Aston Villa striker Jonathan Kodjia is fit to return to face in-form Hull City after missing last Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Wigan with an ankle injury.

With Jack Grealish (shin) still sidelined, Andre Green is also available after returning from his loan spell at League One leaders Portsmouth.

Hull have striker Fraizer Campbell back in contention after a knock.

Australia midfielder Jackson Irvine remains on international duty at the Asian Cup.

Hull start the day in 10th, four points off a play-off place, after their run of six straight league wins - the club's best run in 14 years.

Villa lie a point and two places further back in 12th, having won just once in eight games.

    Match facts
    • Aston Villa have conceded more home goals (24 in 13 games) than any other side in the Championship this season.
    • Villa have not lost in 12 home matches against Hull City since November 1967 - but boss Dean Smith is winless in three Championship meetings with the Tigers.
    • Hull's 3-1 home defeat on the opening weekend of the season was their 11th in their last 15 meetings with Villa in all competitions.
    • Tigers boss Nigel Adkins has managed at Villa Park just once previously, a 1-0 Premier League win with Southampton in January 2013.
    • Villa are winless in their last five home games - draws with Nottingham Forest (5-5), Stoke City (2-2) and QPR (2-2), the last-gasp 3-2 defeat by leaders Leeds United and the 3-0 FA Cup exit to Swansea City.
    • Hull top scorer Jarrod Bowen scored his fourth brace of the season against Sheffield Wednesday last time out - to take his recent tally to seven goals in five league games.
    • Tammy Abraham has scored in all his last five home games for Villa, netting nine goals in the process.

The thing for me now is that a defeat would be so much harder to take, a few months ago we'd be almost expecting a loss today and we'd just get on with things.

I'd be happy with a point but hoping to sneak a one nil.

Just had a worrying thought. Should we reach the play off final, I won't be going, which would hurt like hell.

    Did you go last time?

I didn’t, but it’s not pleasant and I probably would this time (not that we’ll need to worry anyway)

You could develop a slight cold or something just for the day. As you were not feeling yourself that day you could attend and afterwards sit back knowing that you saw the game, enjoyed the victory but never actually went. That way everyone's a winner.:emoticon-0138-think

I went to the play off final and it's s treasured memory, also the FA cup final which is a bittersweet memory because we were so close to winning.

I couldn't go this time though.
