Welcome to the world of the other 19 sides every season. Not sure you'll be complaining when the inevitable 2 offside goals, 2 penalties or 2 red cards are given against us in your favour. Take your pick as all have happened in recent seasons.
Villa's gameplan works excellently away from home. They get men behind the ball and break with blistering pace. Then understanding between Benteke and Weimann is pivotal to their attacking threat but it's less effective in home games where they have to play a more possession based game and are expected to take the initiative. Liverpool will win comfortably IMO.
We played an Aston Villa that was completely transformed from last year. I see them challenging for a place in Europe.
Exactly Blue, Lambert has steadied the ship and they are a pacey side. You should read the stupid Mancs board about how Mourinho hasn't made any difference to us and we are the same as last year? Of course they are **** scared of what's coming by them on Monday but when Tuesday cold light of day will see them returning to their stones by the pool.
We got the breaks today and glad to have the 3 points! We win on Monday and we'll be 6 points ahead of the manc ****. Lamberts starting to get on my tits though. Don't remember him complaining when Benteke got away with an elbow in our fixture at Villa Park last year or when we had a perfectly good goal ruled out in the same game. He's almost as blinkered as Wenger.
Is it me or was Ivan's first yellow totally justified as that, a yelllow? He caught Benteke in the neck who then proceeded to go down clutching his face. Love the claims of offside on both goals though and how we look no different two games in. Planks.
A win is a win and we have the 3 points. United fans can fark right off if they're gunna say refs a joke and all... Imagine how every other football fan has felt towards you over the last 20 years. Villa played very well and we did get lucky imo but we're top of the league with 2 wins out of 2. Different game plan for United. Buzzing for Monday now.
Thought Terry's positioning was perfect actually - the goal was testimony to Bentekes skill rather than bad defending. Cahill was actually very good though. Interesting stat attack here: http://i.imgur.com/AdGv0sV.gif Ramires is a key player no doubt.
They're bricking it. As if being the 2nd best team in Manchester wasn't bad enough they're about to become 3rd/4th best in England.
Steady boys, you have won two games at home and apart from the first 30 mins of the season (when Hull looked like rabbits caught in headlights) you have not looked very convincing. The only team that may be striking fear into others is City, and that is only because they look strong on paper.
Most people would agree Luiz, Hazard and Mata were our three best outfield performers towards the end of last season. Now two of those three players weren't playing. Undermine the wins all you want but both Hull and Villa put up far more of a fight than Swansea. Season starts at home to Fulham.
