My initial reaction when I watched the interview was to be frustrated with his attitude, and seeming lack of recognition of the privilege of being a footballer. However, with more thought, he is probably just saying what lots of footballers think. Given that, fair play for having the integrity to be honest.
Yeah, I've always like benny, but he doesn't get on with AVB. There was an issue involving him and adebayor last season, which I won't repeat, but as a result he's been frozen out by AVB. He'll be fine under Harry though. Just wait until you get to see more of Tom Carroll. You'll be raving about him like you did with Townsend. Class act.
Just been to Benny's web page...The guy appears to be a top top guy. Very honest. He plays for Cameroon and not for France, and the way he talks about that you can see he loves playing for Cameroon. He is exactly the right sort. He cares about what he does, he takes pride in what he does...and additionally he gives a lot of credit to Harry. This could be a great great signing for us
