They haven't helped themselves. They've supposedly been ready to takeover for god knows how long, yet throughout the entire process RD has been allowed to do everything he wants...

Been leaking like sieves which doesn't bode well. And they are still at it.

It’s the law of diminishing returns with them now though ...

“Working hard to make it happen” doesn’t cut it

Biased towards my personal asperations, so wanted owners that would get us off this predictable merry-go-round we always find ourselves on...Most of what we've read and heard about the the Aussies so far, suggests we'll end up getting same old, same old.... #RepeatedMisery

Would love to be proved wrong...

Unfortunately we're unlikely to know the reasons for the recent delays for some time, if at all, because of confidentiality agreements. I give the Aussies credit for sticking with it for so long, and it seems a bit early to be turning against them doesn't it, when they've gone through the nightmare of dealing with Duchatelet and 'his people' all this time?

Like what? Not being precious? Self deprecating humour is the order of the day here.

In all of your communications with Gerard Murphy, have you ever asked him if the Aussies have got the money?

And is Muir the front man for multiple investors, whilst not putting his own cash in?

Last season we saw Muir at Charlton wearing a Charlton scarf, which raised a lot of hopes. These hopes were further raised by a series of leaks. It's time to stop taking these leaks at face value. Maybe they are designed to put pressure on Roland, who knows, but optimism is being replaced by cynicism, and they only have themselves to blame.

There was a point made about the Aussies just above your comment...You could've said something about that, but no you chose the smart alec route...''It's not always like this is it?''

We don't know why there have been so many delays in this take-over or whose fault they are. Neither side can just come out and vent their frustration in public.

I have serious doubts that there is going to be a take-over now - based on what I know (=virtually nothing) plus intuition.
However, if the Australian Consortium does buy the Club, are we not going to give them a fair chance to make the changes that we all want?

Cynicism and disillusionment seem to be drowning everything right now.

IF they take over, I'll buy a S/T, which I call giving them a chance. Doesn't mean I'll feel as optimistic as I'd hoped.

The disillusionment is simply reflecting the fans frustrations. The majority of fans are losing the will to live with this boring never ending, never happening takeover fiasco.

As for giving them a chance, even the longest RD haters like myself gave him a chance, and fair enough he was bright enough to drop the network experiment (it wouldn't take a genius) but ultimately nothing changed, we still got a p1ss poor player policy....'Thin squads' padded up with predominately useless cheap loan players.

RD started with a few protestors, then when the misery escalated more fans got the hump, the few protestors turned into thousands and then the bigger anti RD groups were formed. The rest is history....

You said it yourself on another thread...."Cause and Effect"

Thanks for posting that up Royston. Hoping to do at least half of them next season and can't wait for the fixture list comes out.

Two new grounds for me and some old favourites. Some cracking weekends away to look forward to along with one flight so I can pretend we're playing in Europe.

Same. Gutted that Burton went up as we went down.

Got some very nice pubs to stay in within five miles of lots of those grounds, the football sometimes is just the excuse!
