When we were told that Andrew Muir had a "5 year plan" for Charlton, they were referring to how long it would take him to raise the money to buy the club #WrongSortOfOwner #NotForUsThanks
Rich Cawley reporting that there has been new interest in Bauer and Magennis. Seems like a softening up exercise - Bowyer says that he understands PB wants to play at a higher level, but says he cannot replace him for £300,000
Usual decimation of the squad going on. Since the Belgian **** took over we have not gone into a new season with a strong squad in every position. If Bauer, Vetokele and Magennis go I reckon we need nine new signings to make the squad competitive. A goalkeeper, right back, left back, two centre halfs, two central midfielders and two strikers. We will likely get one loan signing and one free.
Not only that, we have lost the spine of a side which never exactly set the world on fire last season. Amos.....da Silva......Konsa......Kashi. 4 first team players & automatic starters....replaced with what ? As you say, the next bit is almost the most predictable bit. Bauer, Magennis and maybe Fosu will be sold. Replaced by free agent duds and loans.
I made a good choice choosing a Season ticket at Welling over one at Charlton. It doesn't look like a Takeover is happening anytime soon and we are making a small squad even smaller. This is all really encouraging people to go out and buy a Season ticket, isn't it? The Valley next season is going to look like the Marie Celeste.
The apologist in you will never be put off with the football. Is your season ticket still on the half-way line? The most expensive ones.
Will always remember the purple knob at Northampton away singing his roland out songs annoying people. When someone grabbed him at half time and said lets go on the pitch and protest his little popper went.
I was there & saw him - he got his own song from the Away End....it went something like this ... Fvck off Purple, Fvck off Purple
The last time that happened was the "Dear Fans" tirade, which resulted in the resignation of Mel Baroni.
