Oh dear. Still you'll calm down no doubt when your lass lets you go to matches again.

Too many posters not getting the dark humour of the terraces and in this case the boardroom, lighten up, AA would probably be amused, he engaged this existential battle with City fans first. Only an idiot would connect every negative chant from free willed fans to the official CTWD campaign.

Not having a dig at CTWD but I predicted this a while ago and it will get worse.

I do feel CTWD should do more about it than a swift small print on a website or a quick "we don't condone it" message. Of course you don't condone it but do you feel so irresponsible about it that you're unwilling to actually confront them?

As far as I'm concerned letting it happen is condoning it.

In the period between the application for a name change and the decision of the FA, then the reality is that the campaign has been rendered a little impotent.

CTWD and fans would be better served lobbying the FA, rather than in fighting with the owners and themselves.

Unless Mr Allam has an unlikely change of heart, we should all be channelling our efforts to back the team on the pitch, the manager and his backroom staff. They are. afterall, doing a quite incredible amount of good for the fans, the club, the City and it's wider reputation.

I would imagine that if you asked each and every fan at the game yesterday if the current owners should stay or go, you could count on one set of fingers and toes those that would want them gone.

That is the essence of this spat, insomuch that pretty much nobody can hand on heart say that The Allam's are bad for the club and this is a fundamental tenet of the way CTWD is trying to conduct its campaign.

Keep it civil at all times please.

At the end of the day there are always some idiots in every football crowd (more at certain grounds than others) - but chants like that will probably not endear Mr Allam to those in favour of keeping the original name

    Letting it happen?

You're now holding us responsible for everything anyone ever shouts at a City game?

    Get a grip.

Oh that really IS your best line, why else would you keep using it? Its a shame your mum doesn't restrict your internet access tbh, but at least you demonstrated why threads like this descend into farce usually.

As much of ****s as they are, you should take some tips from Erik and Aggro, they are at least semi decent at posting a variety of ****e and semi arguing whatever the **** it is they're arguing about. You make a comment, get called on it, then resort to "I know you are, I said you are..." type responses.

Shame you don't have the balls yet to admit you were one of the ****s singing the chant mentioned in the OP.

And why should I say I was one of them singing it when I wasn't, you silly little person? To be honest I was unaware of it until I read about it on here, so it can't have been very loud.

And, at least I was there as my lass doesn't stop me going to matches.

Do you go to matches in a kilt seeing as your lass wears the trousers in your house?

I can imagine happy being firmly wrapped round the thumb. Our lass has had to contend with looking after a 1 year old whilst on crutches after dislocating her knee. I told her at the start, there's life, there's death, then there's football.

See, its not much better, but it IS better than your attempt:

Similar vein, but manages to add a little humour on there, even suggesting he is capable of reproducing, which is funny all on its own.

I've noticed the CTWD chant at 19:04 has died down the last two games. Against United I think it was because they'd just scored, and against Fulham think people were distracted by us launching an attack. But I get the sense that the passion is going out of it a bit now that the official application has been lodged, there's not a whole lot more we can do at games beyond just supporting the team now.

Let Allam look a fool and ignore him to keep your pride.

Remember your protest's reasoning and strive for justice.

Chants like this make it a bitching contest and you're bringing yourselves to his level.

I've no idea where you get the idea many people don't like the CTWD campaign, the membership and petition seems to dispute that, but where was this person saying contributing to Tom's afro charity was against the name change?
