Let's face it Kenny's last stint was a mistake, just like Roy of the Rovers previously was. Carroll & Downing now gone, thankfully Henderson is proving to step up to the challenge & having Stevie G as your mentor means things can only get better.
i am not sure what to think of Kennys last stint to be honest. when he took over in Jan, i think it was? he should have been given until the end of the season and then replaced while we was on a high, but then if we had of changed managers, then we wouldn't have had 2 cup finals to enjoy, so swings and roundabouts. for me personally, and hindsight is easy to have an opinion, he is a title wining manager after all, just a while ago and the game had moved on since. the only thing i am gutted about kennys last stint personally, is the money he wasted on crap, as if we had taken a chance on Brendan back then, feck knows how good our team could look right now.
Slightly different players in that Downing is a typical English winger, where as Aspas is a wide forward, so likes to come in, get involved and has much more movement. Downing would be happy to stand on the left touchline and just put crosses into the box, something that was common in the game 6-7 years ago but has gone out of fashion now.
So why didnt he? I saw a bit of him yesterday for the hammers and he got the ball turned infield and passed backwards and I thought that looks familier
is that really all he did? didn't see motd so no idea how he done, but Sam was impressed apparently, or is that just dif levels of what is considered good enough, and he was crap?
I think he touched the ball about 5 times in total He was a sub after about 60mins - but he did absolutely **** all the half hour he was on.... Sums his whole Liverpool career up in 30 mins.
