Why not sell off Gooch as well, he looks like becoming a good player.

If there are any other potentially good players coming through, why not also sell them.

If PSG do want him then it'd be the player and agent who make the decision. Sunderland will have little to do with it. Sadly the reality of football nowadays is that players hold the cards not the clubs.

Hope we keep him though. Looks every bit like he'll be a cracking player. (I did say that about Noble too but way before he got a first team game!)

Barring the fact that he is only 1 of 2 strikers we have at the club I wouldn't sell him at this stage. The way the money has been spent so far this summer does not fill me with enough confidence that another £10-15 million would be spent in the right areas. I think he is going to do well in the next couple of seasons and then see the offers come flooding in.

Martin Odegaard was 'gonna be worth' £50m a few years ago, now he's worth jack ****, he's all hot air, another Freddy Adu.

The bottom line is, until he starts performing for the first team and putting good displays in consistently, he's nothing more than a gamble.

I can only assume that his agent doesn't represent any other players? ( had a quick google but can't find anything! )

Likely another stirring of the pot by journo's trying to sell inches - personally, I'd keep the lad - we need to build a mixed squad of youth and experience for the long-term otherwise we end up having to buy all the time which isn't sustainable, even with the new money. All the buying of 'experience' over the last period has shackled us with a lot of debt, high wages and nothing to show for it!

Odegaard is the prime example why Asoro should stay put for now. Look at what happened when he signed for Real.
He still has age on his side though, he needs to get out of Madrid asap and start his development over again at a club similar to Sunderland.

Real Madrid isn't to blame for Odegaard's poor development, he is, his attitude is appalling.

If your youngster has football on his brain, he'll stay, he's about to break into a PL team and that's gotta be right up there.

If you sell him for £15m, it's not a bad deal finance-wise, even if he goes on to be worth £30m or £40m, there's no guarantees he'd ever reach his potential with your team.

If Zlatan played for Stoke his whole career he'd probably never have achieved anything.

If's and but's mate, the path he took made him who he is, you'd have got a very different Zlatan Ibrahimovic if Reid signed him.

Although, there is the possibility that he could have been even better ;)

Aye - if me Aunty had balls she'd be me uncle

KNowing Zlatan - had he played for us, he'd have used it as a stepping stone as he was always very driven to succeed from what I've seen of him.

Yeah, some players were born to win.

Long may that continue for Mr Ibrahimovic.

Remember a skinny young kid called Ally McCoist - went to Rangers for a pittence then bulked up and .....goals galore.
But who knows what Asoro will do ?We need the money atm - reluctantly sell for me if a decent offer - plus PSG are a team worth playing for - don't hold the lad back imo

He has to score goals first. I was hoping Watmore would be getting 15 goals a season by now as well.
