He ripped man united to bits last season and scored key goals in tough times tbf. I find him frustrating, but I appeaciate it's not easy when you've got 2 or even 3 on your toes.. he either gets it out of tight spot and people say well played or the other team defend better and people sigh. I think when he's played this season hes played well and now Almiron is another player for other managers and sides to worry about max will get more space. I just hope his fitness issues end and he shuts everyone up .. much like miggy and of course Joelinton who now has all the boo boys eating humble pie . Ps not happening with wood or shelvey though
ASM is a cracking player. The issue, for him, is that when Willock or Joelinton have played there, they have been equally as effective (I like their positional rotation in games too) and I feel like we don't need him. If we can get consistency out of ASM, he blows them out the water but until then, in or out, we don't, on average, appear weaker.
Hopefully he can get back to full fitness and regain his best form. He can make a real difference when he comes on.
He's definitely a lot more creative than Almiron is. He made the difference when he came on, same with the palace cup game.
His alter-egos, they'll remind us if Fraser scores a hat-trick later in the season. Fraser is our 4th choice winger and we're looking for a winger. It's pretty clear people don't rate him.
He’s had hamstring problems and they take time to heal. It looks like we have managed him well. Got him fit. Whilst being injured I am sure they will have worked on the tactical and mental side of his game. I think as he matures he will get much better. A good choice for us to mix it up. Teams can’t plan against us with any real certainty. Which gives us that element of surprise.
He ain't a Dyer or an Aaron's....but he's not far off. Always seems like an injury waiting to happen. His last game was Vs City, and that seems like an age ago now. The good thing is that these days he isn't an essential member of the first XI; 2 years or so ago, ASM and Miggy were carrying the team, times have changed.
Yes, my wires were crossed, but not my much. He's just made a handful of sub appearances since then, with only the Wolves game producing anything worthwhile. A combination of him being out injured, him not being risked for a full match, or just the first team not needing him. It's telling that our current run has been done without him, in the same way that our run last season was done without Trippier and with Wood up front. Happy birthday btw!
We are heavily linked to Marcus Thuram. And he plays left side forward. For 10m it would be a steal. He could be ASM direct replacement. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcus_Thuram
I think we'll be playing Wilson, Isak, Almiron, ASM + 1 other competing for three spots up top. It will help with injuries too as we will not need to rely on semi-fit players who then have to carry the team.
