Breaking bloodstock news - Darley have purchased a 29% share in Dubai World Cup winner Animal Kingdom. It seems likely that he will stand at stud in the northern hemisphere at either Dalham Hall (Newmarket), Jonabell Farm (Kentucky) or Kildangan Stud (Kildare).
Black Caviar's yearling half-brother will go under the hammer at tomorrow's opening session of the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale. The colt, by Redoute's Choice, has apparently attracted a lot of international attention and is expected to break the Inglis Sales' yearling record of AUS$3million. He is due through the ring at about 3.20pm AEST, about 6.20am UK time, tomorrow.
Dancing Rain is the latest mare to be confirmed in foal to Frankel. Two top class Australian mares have also been confirmed for his first southern hemisphere book. He's in as the stable second string, Ian Mongan on board while Tom Queally rides DEMONIC for the same connections. From what I hear Sir Henry likes her a lot, but her work-rider is not convinced she is a world-beater!
