Hadn't heard about these orange stickers till now, so just checked it out.

If you were given an orange sticker yesterday you can claim your money back.

Putting a label on someone because their dress code doesn't come up to scratch is beyond belief.

Those who came up with this idea should hang their heads in shame.

Coolmore's French representative has just tweeted this picture of Goldikova, who has arrived at Coolmore ahead of her mating with Galileo.

Which one? <laugh>

Sorry, very nice and I take it that's your horse. Look forward to seeing your album(s).

Ron are you having a laugh? It's just a picture representing Epona that I found on Google.

Epona was the ancient Horse Goddess of the pre-Christian Pagan people...protector of horses, donkeys and mules :)

I will try and post a picture of my horse, when I get chance.

Give her a few weeks and they'll have her sorted. Otherwise it's the twitch and kicking boots for her!

Thought I would add, the racing rumour mill this week is saying that Galileo's fee, advertised as "Private, has been set at a whopping €300,000 for 2012 <yikes>

2 years ago that equated to about £300k. Earlier this month it equated to £250k. 6 years ago £200k. Exchange rates are a pain in the proverbial.

Princess, I been doing a bit of reading on the so called "speed gene." I know next to nothing about the breeding scene, so it came as a bit of a surprise to find so much depth in the genetic make up of a horse. I read that the "average of 50-50 is used in assessing what will be passed on to the off spring, but a geneticist has stated that in reality the input from either parent can fall anywhere between 1 to 100pc. As this whole subject is long and convoluted, I was wondering if the major studs have contact with geneticists when it comes to the planning of matings?

Cyc, have a read up about Jim Bolger and his breeding of racehorses, you should find that interesting.

Yeah Nass, I'd heard some stuff a while back, but didn't take too much notice. But from what I've just read, his thinking is along the lines of the stuff I was reading. Its seems that the T or TT is very strong around most of Europe. I'm not sure how the US is though, but here in Oz though we are just about all CC. It's all amazing stuff.
