I don't like or dislike Jimmy, but he doesn't come across as a manager who is authoritative and knows what he wants or has the ability to organically adapt. It sounds like he is saying exactly what SLF wants him to say to appease the fans. Bringing the young players through is fine but not too many immediately. Shodipo is the exception. Two, three or even four years maybe but there's a reason why they can't make the squad at present. They're not good enough.

It seemed to me like he is learning to ply his trade on our clock and isn't his own man. He's being guided by others. I never thought I'd say that until tonight.

He's also alluding to do a Warnock/Hughes/Redknapp ( and throwing the match ) v Sunderland, why? If he has got this squad so fit with double training sessions why can't he play his best Xl?

He has over done it with them and has knackered them, that's why. I'm going to have him down as clueless until he proves me otherwise. I'm more than up for swallowing humble pie.

Jimmy hints at a weakened side for tomorrow night (so ****ing glad I'm going! ), whilst Klopp says he's playing a strong side at Derby.
Spot the difference.

I'm not in the Jimmy in/outbrigade, just want to see my team 'win' a few games to make Saturday afternoon's a bit more enjoyable. Thought he was honest enough, but if it carrys on we will be in a relegation dog fight.
Paul Finney mentioned on the podcast that we are a losing club, we have lost too many games in the last few years, and if we carry on this way people will just stop going to watch.
I did a bit of stats and over the last 5 years we have only won 62 out of 214 league games that's 29% of games won ....we've lost almost 45% of the games in that time.

Not just that we lose, we seem to have several games each season where we just fall apart, usually local derbies, which doesn't auger well for our annual tonking at the Ruperts...

Are we comparing our squad and manager to Liverpool now?
I thnk he said he would be playing a couple of youngsters and some of the new signings to give them game time. I look forward to seeing them but I am not optimistic we will win the game. I would just like to see a less cautious set up to start with.

Agree...just as a comparison Huddersfield have also won 29% of games in the last 3 years ...(I have nothing against Huddersfield was just comparing against the last team we played)....So they must really be on a high with thier current position and form...Reflected in their attendances as well. Good luck to them, but really hope we can start doing some of the same.

He seems honest. Hope he is with regard to Sandro. He said he would feature tomorrow as would some of the new signings. I hope we really get at Sunderland tomorrow.

Of course not.

I'm comparing attitudes.

That'll be Queens Park Strangers then.
Chris Ramsey used one the league cup ties in similar fashion last year and we got pasted by... (can't recall who - probably Swindon!)

Carlisle United. We lost 1-2.

What was your favourite league cup defeat?

My ex of five years came along to one game- a 3-1 defeat at home to Port Vale- Antonio German (remember him- no me neither) scored and I don't think it even crossed the line. Fabulous breasts (her, not German).

The fit ones will all have trained together at least 2 weeks now, apart from the 2 who came at the deadline, the rest much longer. They need more game time now I think as Jimmy said.

Been saying it from day one in that he is not the right man to take us forward (or at least not take us backwards).
I won't say I told you so but it will end only one way for Jimmy. He will be going down the Ramsey/hart/Dowie route.
I would also take Paul finney's quote on losing with a large pinch. People forget we were in the Prem for two of those years and wasn't expected to win many.
As for stats? The only ones you should worry about are for this season and recently it's 1 point in 5 games (1 point from a possible 15 in the f'ing Championship)! Too many mistakes from JFH.
Not good enough

Glad I got a refund on my ticket for tomorrow.

My mate asked me if I wanted to go and I said no. This from a bloke who can't go an hour without looking up something about QPR. A bloke when on a family holiday or wedding will disappear and listen to a QPR game. I even took a radio into a service because we were playing. So for me to say no it must be bad.

Like wise Ellers, last two home matches have been a nightmare getting to & back, only coming from west wickham but southern rail so ****ed up at present, decided against it & go Saturday.

To be fair, Klopp most likely see's this as a realistic opportunity to bring in some silverware. We on the other hand will be expecting to exit the competition at a fairly early stage, so the attitude is not a surprising one for me. Our priority should surely be on the league regardless of how nice/helpful a few cup wins would be...just my opinion of course ;)

Don't see how it can hurt. Win this very winnable game and we're in the last 16. Good for morale surely not to mention buying him a bit of time with the fans.
