I was only jesting mate! Though to be fair I have seen Muse and it was dreadful, but it got completely panned afterwards for the sound being terrible (it was in Benicassim). I saw them from afar at Glasto a few years back so definitely need to give them another go, they have a great reputation as a live band.

Fleetwood Mac would be amazing but I just couldn't justify the prices for a seated ticket. You'll have to let us know how they are because they are a genuine bucket list band. Think they'll be incredible!

Saw Muse last night and it was as I expected fantastic. One thing that I did notice was the volume went up for Knights of Cydonia. If the residents complain about the noice from the football they are in for a real treat. That was the closing song and played about 10:40, so prepare for the residents to complain.
Was also impressed with the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park stadium, apart from driving through London to and from the gig took 4:30 hours due to traffic.

Sounds class mate. Love a good gig and Muse sound like they smash it every time. Definitely need to give them another go!

Still quite a few tickets on ticketmaster for Wednesdays gig.

If I’m reading it correctly 76

I'm working mad hours lately unfortunately hence a lot of activity on here, including Wednesday night, but it should be a special one. I'm sure they'll drop by Glasto again sometime if not!

I was in Ashton last night as my family went to the gig. I did watch Massive Attack in Filton. Away from the actual venue using Ashton Gate to house concerts adds to the vibrancy of that area.

Southville/Bedminster was alive with people.

Massive Attack in Filton was not. A complete contrast.

It exemplifies why Marvin Rees ego and his quest to build an arena away from Temple Meads in Filton would be a loss to this City.

I couldn't agree more. Out of town arenas, just like football stadia, just suck the life and atmosphere out of the gig. Part of the whole experience is going to bars beforehand and soaking up a bit of atmosphere.

In places like Dublin, even though their arena isn't smack in the centre, there are still bars around and the public transport there means you can get a tram out there which more often than not is buzzing before a big gig. Bristol City centre > Filton has none of that.
