I am generally in the camp of staying positive. I have tried fo give pardew time as I recognise that he is working under a very unusual regime. But...we are massively in the sh*t. He needs sacking now.

Pretty much sums up where I'm at.

I think there have been plenty of variables that have gone against him and I don't think he's the worst manager out there (that doesn't mean I'm calling him a good manager). I have always worried that Ashley would just bring in another stooge who could actually be worse. The problem now is that there is no way back for Pardew. The atmosphere will be so toxic that there is no benefit in keeping him. I do worry he'll be replaced with s**t - but even that can't be worse now than the situation we have.

Pardew is right that the atmosphere isn't helping the team. The atmosphere isn't going to change with Pardew here though so the ONLY sensible and good-business option left for Ashley is to replace him. I hope we can get in someone good - but even someone else bad (as I fear) will at least lift the atmosphere in the short-term.

If Ashley ever cared about his gimp minion he would sack him before next week as the atmosphere will be vile. I imagine the other backroom staff after their exploits won't be safe from the fans wrath either.

Ha ha carver gets paid for fook all. Frightened he loses his job which he is **** at Also goalkeeper coach. Had a bad day yesterday. Watching Forster out doing flapper krul. Get them oot now

Hate to break it to you but we ARE in a relegation dogfight. Just look at our record in 2014, it's the worst record of any Nufc team in the Prem era, ever.
We are not in a dog fight at all because that would mean we had fight in us !!
Instead we are simply going down without a care in the world

I'm not totally convinced by the argument that most managers wouldn't want to work under Ashley. Granted no top notch managers would want to but whilst Ashley calls the shots on player transfers, this isn't too different to a number of other clubs. However, unlike many other hated and crazy owners Ashley has proved he is willing to stand by his manager despite underachieving. A number of managers would probably recognise that, especially in this modern cut throat era.

To put it mildly - Ashley has got himself in a bit of pickle here.
It's well known fact that he is a business man, money is his main driver.
Through some buy low sell high tactics with players going back to Carroll and beyond he has managed to just keep enough quality in the squad to keep us in the Premier League.
From this player trading he has made a lot of money and supposedly paid himself for the loan.

Being in the Premier league pays huge sums to him from Sky and all of the worldwide exposure to his SD brand is worth a lot of money too (although difficult to quantify because he doesn't pay to advertise like most companies)
All in all, financially he is doing pretty good out of owning the club.
So, we are now in deep ****.
He has a team looking like they will be relegated which will end the big pay days from Sky and the SD exposure - ok, there may be parachute payments but overall it will severly reduce his rewards and will reduce the value of the club when it does eventually go up for sale.
He can't keep on the way it is going now otherwise he will lose all the the afore mentioned income.
So what is he going to do about ?
He has a puppet manager who he can do seemingly anything with, but who is totally clueless and is
steering the club down like the Titanic. If he sticks with Pardew he knows the financial consequences not to mention owning a club which he can hardly attend matches because of the poisonous atmosphere - where is the fun in that ?
If he gets rid of Pardew he then has to convince another manager to take the job.
No decent manager would come in and work under the conditions Pardew has been under, they would need guarantees of funding, a say in transfers - basically they would want more control - to be their own man.
He might find another idiot to work like Pardew has but that wouldn't change things much either..
So Ashley - what do you do...

A. do nothing, keep Pardew and lose money
B. replace Pardew with another puppet and probably lose money
C. Change your ways, bring in a good manager, commit to funding the club properly and strive for success, excitement and winning ! No short term guarantees obviously, he can't change the squad till January by which time it could be too late to rescue this season.

Option C will cost him more and would definately not be his style based on his history so far but he'll
surely still make decent returns and potentially drive the value of the club higher eventually.

What do you think he will do ?

It's my understanding that Alan Pardew has not had a say in the players that were brought in - can that really be true?

Ashley won't sack Pardew yet, why would he?

We lost 0-3 at home to Sunderland and then 0-6 at home to Liverpool.

He didn't lose his job after that ****ing disgrace so why would a 4-0 away defeat prompt a sacking?

I went to the friendly game with Real Sociedad but that will be it for me this season. That's how totally pissed off with Ashley and Pardew I am.

Keeping my money firmly in my pocket.

Fellas, he's already been asked to resign. It's brinkmanship of the lowest order, a pi$$ing contest between two egomaniacs at the expense of a loyal and undeserving fanbase.

Pardew is Ashleys mate he won't sack him even when we go down

Maybe that's where it all went wrong, when Pards asked Ashley what he wanted him to do this season he got confused when Mike replied: "Alan, I want you to go down!"

You would think he would ask him to come up for some air.

He won't sell us and if he did he'd sell it to pot noodle on his death bed just annoy us
