I've been a massive critic of his this season, so much so I even thought we should consider offloading him in the summer but he has made a remarkable turnaround and for me should definitely get in ahead of Baines (England team).

I don't think he should play again all season. Losing Ivanovic is bad enough as Ribery will cause us problems but losing Cole would be fatal. Bertrand wouldn't stand a chance against Robben's trickery or pace and with Lahm overlaping.

Cole for me is the player that must be protected at all costs moreso than Drogba, Lampard, Mata you name it.
 
on the defensive side for sure, but i think losing mata lampard or drogs could be equally catastrophic, we are a tad down to the bare ones for this one !!
 
No one has been more critical of Ashley Cole than me !!!!! Don't like the person, don't like his attitude under AVB, can't fault his performances under RDM.
 
he does some fantastic last ditch defending but i hate it when he is up the other end and pulls back the trigger, "pass it ashley for f*cks sake " !!
