I feel like embracing humiliation and doing it in real style

    maybe a series white wash

innings and some defeats all over the place

I don’t think they’ve got their heads on for this tour

More concerned by the catches he dropped!

Boottom line is four of five of the team just are not good enough at this level. Burns, Malan, Hameed and, at the moment, Pope shouldn't be anywhere near test match cricket. The again, neither should any of their potential replacements, bar Bairstow possibly. Looks like Bairstow might have to open with Hameed because Burns has got to go.

Will be five nil unless something big happens over the next week.

It's going to be a long hard few years coming up for us. A full revamp required.

Giles needs to be the first on his way out. His new way of doing things has been a disaster. He said at the time that Silverwood was ultimately solely responsible for selection now... Well he's failed miserably so he can **** off, too.

    We haven't got opening batsmen.

And we dont play the proper cricket at county level to create opening batsmen.

    We're ****ed in that respect.

Far too much focus on the short format of the game by England over the past 10 years. Great to see the World Cup win but Test cricket's just been sidelined and this is the result.

Test cricket is ****e and very boring.
1on a par with f1. Watch the start, forget the bit in the middle, watch the end.
Test cricket is a game for people who like to sit in the sun all day long and drink copious amounts of beer.
    **** sport.

I would assume if a team wins the T20 world cup it won't be any good at test cricket then?

Not really, because Sheffield Shield is top standard and quality cricket played on top standard and quality pitches.

    The County championship, however............

It depends what you've grown up with. I've watched Test cricket from a young age and never seen it as long or boring. Each day's play, in fact each phase, impacts on how the next may play out and how the match will be won or lost in 2/3/4 days time. And if it turns instead then even more interesting. I get it's not for everyone but like I said, it depends when you got into it.

Ironically this series isn't the best advert for Test cricket. Any side would love the complete domination the Aussies are enjoying, and the games are over in 3 days, but as a competition it's ****. The best Tests are the ones that go the full 5 days and can still go either way on the final innings.
