I usually spot some Hull City shirts when I attend the Sydney Ashes Test in January. Digressing a little,I recently watched a recording of the 2013 'Last Night at the Proms', starring British violinist Nigel Kennedy who wore an Aston Villa shirt(10- Agbondlahor). Times have indeed changed since I was last there at the Albert Hall in the early 60's!

Kennedy's performance though was absolutely magnificent.

230 is not by any means a given here, all 3 innings so far have been low scoring for a reason, fancy us to win this

Once again the England bowlers are very badly let down by Englands so called batters. Hopeless beyond belief.

THE ENGLAND BATSMEN IMO SHOULD BE MADE TO COME BACK HOME BY SEA. <grr><grr><grr> THE BOWLERS DESERVE MUCH BETTER. THE AUSSIES ARE BEING MADE TO LOOK MUCH BETTER THAN THEY REALLY ARE.

I hope you're right - unfortunately I think you'll be wrong - I'm going to the SCG - hull city polo shirt rather than the top - however I've been to a 0-5 bashing before so it will be a familiar feeling I fear....

    I give up.

Went to bed at lunch break thinking Cook would convert to a big score and we'd set the Aussies 300+.

Woke up this morning to find out it was a case of same old, same old.

Out of the eleven who started I'd seriously only keep; Cook, Bell, Pietersen, Stokes, Broad and Anderson.

The rest I'd bin off as soon as.

Carberry- Too old and has only passed 50 once. Au revoir.

Root- The golden boy fails time after time after time but the same old excuse of 'Look at Ian Bell and how he's turned out' doesn't wash with me. Take out his only real big score and his average would be woeful. Just not good enough, you've had plenty of chances, do one.

Bairstow- Not good enough with the bat, Butler has to be brought in ASAP, he's a far better prospect. Ta da.

Bresnan- Average bowler with no pace and can't bat. Get rid.

Panesar- A liability in the field and his bowling is on the decline. See ya later.

Of course these opinions may change on Bresnan and Panesar if they skittle out the Aussies.

    <laugh>

    As if.

Yes - the reason being the batsmen have got themselves out in appalling fashion in all three innings.

It's a cracking track to bat on.

    Another lacklustre session

    Fielding absolutely appalling.

Cook has zero confidence in Panesar.

Generally think only positive out the series is Ben Stokes.

Ballance and Rankin fair enough - but is anyone else worried that it's too soon for Borthwick and they're going to rip him a new arsehole?

Knew Carmine would be happy :D

I'd of dropped Carberry instead Root. Root has been screwed by constantly changing his position.

Just for you 'uninitiated' - the "F" Word in Australia is "Root"!

Can't believe they dropped Root instead of Carberry.
