This is the one where England win the series I think. They only need one more win to retain the Ashes and with a very fast pitch and the best bowlers they should do it. I am hoping for some great action, some great bowling and many runs from the English batsmen.

Go the tourists.

Jasbir your patience and commitment is admirable but Cricket is ****. In Scotland playing/liking/knowing anything about cricket is a extreme sign of homosexuality.

Cricket goes hand-in-hand with tea, cucumber sandwiches, bumming and imperialism <ok>

The ashes is good tho. bit like golf being ****e and the ryder cup being good <ok>

I love the commentary on cricket they talk ****ing pish. They were talking about the sandwiches they had at lunchtime on it once.

The only thing about the Ashes that appeals to me is sitting in the sun for days on end drinking beers. All that cricket stuff would probably be ok if you were on a 5 day steamer anyway.

Used to go to the Partick Cricket ground when the weather was good and watch the cricket - Cricket is rubbish but sitting in the sun getting pished was magic!

England are looking good for victory. Tremlett was tremendous bowler with 3 for 63 and Anderson had 3 for 61. Australia were all out for 268 which is very low score. If England can bat like they have done so far the Ashes will be retained and Australia will be crushed again. Great cricket so far.

england took a hiding last night. bowled all out for 170 or sumthin

England not looking so good now. Johnson had magnificent bowling figures of 6 for 38 to go with his first innings total of 62 which is very high for no 8 in the batting order. Aussies now 119 for 3 and looking like going on for the draw at least. Australia lead by 200 runs and we have only had two days play. Every match seems more exciting than the last one. If England throw this away now they will be gutted I think.

Put up all the threads about cricket you want, but could you refrain from speaking to us as if we are ****ing ******s please?

I had a pint with Ricky Ponting and Shane Warne in Barcelona a few years ago. 2 cracking guys for banter they love sticking it up the English and so do it!

Johnbhoy#7 they will have loved the play so far then. They are bound to go 1-1 now. Hussey's century and Johnson's bowling have made a victory almost certain. How England could throw it away I don't understand. Two days of batting for England seems impossible. Even Botham couldn't save this match.

So the series will be level and on to the last two tests. Firstly Melbourne on December 25th and then Sydney in the New Year. This is the most exciting Ashes in years.

Series squared at 1-1 and all to play for in the final two tests. How England lost that I do not understand. Australia have the advantage now and only need to win and draw and they have stolen the Ashes. England may have to make urgent changes. On to next test on 25th. This is much more exciting series than I thought possible.

Jasbir 2005 i would say was the best, 2006/07 was a rout for the Aussies, 2009 was a bit weather effected but hopefully the next test is a draw so we have a winner takes all in Sydney <ok>
