boycott - surprisingly - got a heck of a lot of in-swing, but his deliveries may have looked like they swung more because i only remember seeing him bowl from behind.

Cracking finish in the Lancs v Yorks T20 match. Yorks needed 13 off the last over to win. It went 2-w-1-4, so 6 needed off the last 2. Ran 2 off the fifth, it was called a no ball so leaves 3 off the last 2. 2 off the next, 1 off the last needed, out lbw match tied. People knock 20-20, not proper cricket and all that but that was exciting and a big crowd loved it.

I admired the Lanky crowd for the incessant "we all hate Leeds scum" chants, but hope they don't think we all support them or "follow" them as a "second team" or some ****e

Did you see the last wicket, the ball was going down leg side. What made matters worse, the umpire Neil Mallender, who I played golf with at Hessle GC and gave it out and he is a Yorky.

Only a warm up so take with a pinch of salt, but 19-6 is never a good look!

indeed. these kind of games are far more important than the ecb's bean counters give them credit for. i know travel between england and southern hemisphere test countries used to take months of boat travel, but these warm ups have always been important, not least to acclimatise tourists to different conditions. england's recent abject visits to india, australia, and the windies could have yielded better results with warm up games rather than the usual shoe-horning of games of a dozen different mickey mouse (but lucrative) formats into every spare day.

I can't remember, was it a full toss or a yorker? If it was a full toss and it struck the pad in line you can be out even if the ball was swinging down leg.

Other side of the coin of course is that they may have got their dodgy innings out of the way, learnt from it and are ready to go for the Tests. It's a shame we won't have at least one of Mahmood (who was excellent in the Windies), Curran or Robinson (who seems to have gone off the rails) next week

It was a full toss and I have to say it looked out to me in real time

It still has to be hitting the stumps. A full toss must not impact the striker outside the line of leg stump just as, if the ball pitches, it cannot pitch outside leg stump. It must then be going on to hit the stumps, then, if its not a no ball, on appeal, it will (or should) be given out.
