Better performance.

They're not all that with the bat with the exception of obviously Smith who really has done us this series.

Class player.

With this gentlemen at least giving some credit... this shows a little class you should all leaen from imo...

Are you an Aussie?
No he’s not. He’s a self loathing attention seeker. I’ve only encountered one other person like him, a Liverpool fan from Salford, who freely admitted that he went against the family after he had a teenage row with his mum.

Yeah I thought so.

He's certainly a sandwich short.

Great day from England with the ball. Smith and Labuschagne aside Aussies battling line up is pathetic. Both teams batting has been horrendous all summer

All our batsman gets starts and then give their wicket away too cheaply

Aussie’s rely heavily on Smith and an accidental find in Labuschange

Thought Curran was excellent and all this talk about if there is room for him or not his nonsense. He should play. It lightens the load on Stokes once he can bowl again. Curran can bat and it frees Stokes up more to focus on his batting. I think Stokes is a better batsman then bowler so him bowling less for Curran to come in I dont think is a bad idea. Stokes will still bowl alot just not as much and allows us to manage Archer’s overs much better

Hopefully Denly, Burns and Root can put on at least 100 for the first 2 wickets. Get us about 170 runs ahead and then complete free up Stokes, Bairstow and Buttler to play some shots. Pains me to say it but our best approach is going 1 day mode. We are the best in the world at it but became a little 1 dimensional with it. But we need to remember while it was a complete freak but we managed to chase down 359. There is still 3 days left so alot of time left but we need to bat the aussies out the game with 400+ lead. Smith and Labuschagne are the only competent batsman. For the Aussies to get 400 Smith will need to get about 250 of them

I would seriously struggle not wrapping Steve Smith’s bat around his head

Not because we cant get him out. When we bowl a ball that beats everything and he stands there saying good ball with his stupid mannerisms that would really annoy me

As long as we bat until teatime today, I'd imagine that would be enough runs to win the game. The spinners will come into play a lot more over the next sessions.

He's in the squad. He has scored heavily all season on our wickets in county cricket. Not sure that he should be regarded as an accidental find...

Me and my brother were talking about Curran, last night. Who do you drop for him? Broad, Archer and Anderson are pretty much guaranteed their places. Stokes is another seam bowler that we have. If we want a spin bowler then that doesn't leave any room for Curran or Woakes unless we remove another batsman, which at the moment, would be madness.

He wasnt in the Aussie full squad. Only got called up when Smith got ruled out. I dont think anyone had heard of him and they didnt expect he would make the impact he has

Personally I would retire Anderson. He is 37 and his body is struggling. Time to move forwards

Not the way Denly is going after Lyon. Already smacked him for 6. Not letting him settle at all

Anybody who has an interest in the domestic game must have heard of him. I think he might have been the first batsman to pass a thousand runs this season.

I know an Arsenal fan who genuinely started supporting them to spite his Spurs fan father.
