Most Ashes series are overrated. Once every 25 years might get one with great drama.

If it was on terrestrial TV it would be worth the effort but it's lost a lot since being on Sky.
I've only ever bothered watching one, 2005.

**** Sky.

201-6.

That almost seems decent after the woeful start!

Bairstow and Woakes need to try to get us to 350, minimum. Half a chance to not lose then.

If we only get around the 300 mark, the Aussies will put on 500 and well lose by an innings in less than four days.

Assuming it isn't washed out.

It would be close to a miracle if we got near that.

250 probably more likely, at a push 280.

Happy to be proven wrong!

When Smith is in the rest of the team are free to play as they know Smith will get a score to at least match ours

Get Smith out and the pressure goes onto the Aussies. Tim Paine cant bat and the bowlers are awkward to get out but wont hurt you unless you let them

Getting Smith before he really gets going it key

Still cant get Steve Smith out. Jofra Archer has hit him a few times now last one on his head was really nasty

Maybe forced to retire here

Steve Smith has failed his concussion test and been ruled out of the rest of the 2nd test

Aussies are allowed a concussion sub

They is a 7 day rule that Smith cant play any cricket so that rules him out the 3rd test

Not according to BBC...

"Under Cricket Australia's concussion protocol, there is no minimum amount of time a player must wait before playing again, although a statement said the "short turnaround to the next Test is not in his favour"."
