Who will win the Ashes?

You reckon we should drop Ali?
He's horribly out of form. Has been for a while. He was **** in the WC and he's been shunted around the test order looking for a place for him. If he's not taking wickets then he isn't contributing.

Hopefully he'll bat for 4 hours today and keep his place.

More likely that Lyon will show that it's a turning wicket that Ali failed to exploit.

Australia deserve to win... england have done nothing but use excuses like a bowlers sore arm for example.. that was day1 its now day 5! Do they think Australia dont have issues.

Agreed.

I can't see us surviving the day especially now its overcast.

Its a tricky one - do you take someone out of the firing line who is getting stick for their own good or will he react badly if dropped?

I'd drop him personally.

We needed him yesterday and unfortunately he wasn't up for it.

**** with the bat too atm. We're effectively a man down.

Really since he had that excellent series against SA a couple of years ago he's lost the plot.

Already in full retreat.

Being a bowler down from the first morning is a major disadvantage in a 5 day test. Especially when he’s your best bowler.

You don’t watch much cricket do you Santa?

So is playing in england for australia. Excuses .. be better and credit australia for grinding it out.

England need a miracle with this batting line up. There are 3 players in the top 7 who are ODI/T20 players and then there's Ali at 8 who looks completely shot.

Could this be an advantage for us today?

No, course it won't be. What the **** was I thinking?

I usually do. Are you an Aussie or do you just hate the English?

He's English and can be alright but he's specifically on the wind up for this series. No reason other than to get responses, he's harmless though. In fairness he seems to have put some legwork into googling info as his cricket knowledge has increased in the past few days - not sure about any understanding though.

Understood. He’s trying to fill a void in his life.
