Poolie, - Guidetti is a good shout, as is Sissokho. I have a feeling that MoN will try and mould his side around the likes of Colback, McLean and Campbell. A youthful pacey side would suit his style of play, providing it doesn't get too youthful and he can hang on to the bigger players (Milner, Barry) who give his side the edge. A scouting network looking for promising youth can do no harm for your team's long term future either, you've already enjoyed the benefits of acquiring a young, hungry player in McLean so more of the same should suffice, it's not flattering and doesn't get the pulses racing but I guess not everybody has a Mansour or Abramovic, and it makes it all the sweeter when you get results against the beasts of the league.
I think Hoilett or Johnson will come in to play on the right and he might move Larson into the middle. Someone with good passing in the middle of the park who can get up and down and be a play maker would compliment Catts or Colback. We need to aim higher than Fetcher IMO, I think the lad is decent back up but he is not in the same league as Bent, Gyan or Welbeck of which we had all 3 at one point. There is no doubt were going to have to push the boat out both wage and transfer wise to get to the next level. I would like to see us go after Sturidge. The lad is not getting a game at Chelsea and is not afraid to move north because he had a spell at Bolton. He is quick strong and can finish, perfect player for a MON side. Sturidge, Fletcher, Campbell and Saha. That would be a decent 4 full of experience and youth. Whickam and Ji to go out on loan. 18m Sturidge 8m Fletcher Free Saha Free Hoilett Loan Johnson The above would cost us 26m but lets face it that's still not a fortune and if we could get Olson for 4m we would have an awesome side for 30m.
MoN likes natural 'English' speaking, maybe 'a bit more mature' and definately 'cerebral' players for a reason. Like Bonaparte he stands imperious in the technical area expecting players to execute the complex roles he, Napoleon, has given them. Yeah I know MoN is Belgian but he has a game plan.......................
