we havent got Lampard in our team.. thats like me saying McGregor should have saved that cos Shilton would have.
Steve Bruce said we've missed our last three or four penalties so we'd better start practising. Is he mad? Shouldn't we be practising them all the time?
BCC said all along that if it's a score draw we're out. You argued with him then corrected yourself. You're a mong. Because he's not perfect, and like anyone else, is susceptible to ****ups. We've missed our last few penalties from a few different players in fact.
Just on the bus making the 3 hour journey back to Bratislava. It was a great experience just lacking the result. Would like to see Tom's misses again, the second seemed harder to miss!
So he hit the ball weakly and too near the goalkeeper and it's just one of those things Doesn't he know that, other than missing the goal, this is the worst combination? Hit it hard and hit it just inside the post is the best combination Practice regularly as well
You see, i was thinking that. What the f**king **** is he on about? Im the one who said they don't need to win to go through. This is the strangest argument ive ever had. He's criticising me for saying something and then saying what i said was right. I need a lie down.
Yes it was a bad miss on the rebound , **** happens . Should be a good game next week with all to play for
A 0-0 draw away from home in the 1st leg of any European Competition is a good result. It also makes the second leg very interesting and should help boost the attendance. So stop grumbling.
in other news the other slovakian side beat st johnstone away 2-1 while aberdeen lost away 2-0 to real sociedad so that's those two out from the british isles
Tom thought he'd scored in his head and missed the sitter, anybody who plays or has played the game will know sometimes a mistake is made in a fraction of a second, could happen to anybody no matter how bad it looks. I will have a bet on him scoring in the second leg. The miss is on Twitter if people haven't seen it
Huddlestone is clearly our most technically gifted player. Absolutely nothing wrong with him taking it. Meyler, Long and Livermore have never been penalty takers. As for Bruce taking a penalty, that's a joke right? If had taken the penalty and missed everyone would be saying Huddlestone should of taken it.
My order would be (if all on the pitch): 1) Brady 2) Long 3) Livermore 4) Meyler 5) Thudd If you have Bruce anywhere near that list then something is wrong with you, I'd probably have Greegsy before him and the only player we have less confident with a football is Harper
I thought the reason Thudd missed the rebound was that he was charging in fast and the ball bounced high and he couldn't get over it. Just one of those things. If it had rolled out low he wouldn't have had any problem. My choices would be Brady, Snoddy, and Long.
I'm not grumbling Mr Bus I'm in the fortunate position to realise every day is a good one Even if we get thrashed and play crap miss open goals etc I still have a smile on my ugly mug at full time Just being there is a huge posative Have a great day everyday everyone
