Calc. That's not my point and I'm not saying I want Heskey either because I do think he is part his best now but my point is his best took him to the very top of the English game and saw him courted by some of the biggest names in football management.

My gripe is that Heskey is a million miles away from being a donkey and was for 5 or 6 years at his peak, one of the best frontmen in the EPL.

Thomas Hauser was a donkey. Ameobi is a donkey. Heskey was a very good footballer.

Do I want him no. Would I buy him no. Will Mon bring him in? No I don't think so, but that doesn't make the lad a donkey imo.

Emile Heskey's an excellent Prem player. Every pleyer loves to play alongside of him, and every manager loves to have him on their books. But the bottom line is, he doesn't score goals. Larsson will score as many as him this season. So let's not abuse the man - he doesn't deserve it. But we don't deserve him either : He simply doesn't meet our present requirements. An excellent player - yes. A replacement for Bent, Gyan or Phillips - not a chance in hell.

<laugh>..I was thinking the same thing..Being serious though, a goal every 4.5 games in the premiership is not great for a striker, but he does hold the play up very well for others...
Having said that, he wouldn't be on my hit list for signings..

You said Larsson will score as many as Heskey!

I'd wager Seb already has scored at least 3 more than Heskey will manage!

He won't be coming in the summer either mate. This window was a stop gap one and The only time Heskey might have been considered.

This summer will be Mon's rebuilding time and our manager has already stated if wants pace throughout the squad. A 36 year old Heskey won't fit that profile, so rest easy.
