"Billy McKinlay met with the players this morning to say his goodbyes. Most of them said 'Who are you again?'" This is how I envisage the situation - don't think this has any negative impact to be honest!
If we make an appointment this week it's a non-story. If we stay in limbo it's one coach down, so it can't help the situation IMO
Don't think it helps but I also don't think it hinders to be honest - he's gone to try and better himself working with a manager he knows - it's not like he's decided "**** this I'm leaving as I don't want the ****" so I'm not sure how negative it'll be - time will tell I suppose!!
Well, we'll probably have sight of him a couple of times next season as WHU continue their free-fall with Gobsh*te Moyes at their helm. That's, of course, if he lasts to the end of this season. We will rise again, whilst Billy McKinlay has gotten himself the equivalent of a ticket on the Titanic. KTF
Saying good-bye to Moyes Chief scout has to be a good thing. We could have signed Yedlin and Clark for about the same money we paid for Djilobogi and Love - Get the **** out of here!
mm I thought similar staright away but from a more positive view its a way for Mckinlay to get premiership experience and the new manager (whenever they come here) will probably pring their own coaching staff. Slaven Bilic to come here ??
Apparently, Slaven rang the West Ham players after his sacking to ask them what went wrong. Their reply was that he wasn't tough enough on them. That doesn't sound like what we need.
Yeah but PDC was outed for being too tough - it's a hard balance to get. Maybe a balance between getting the players respect and demanding total commitment to the cause. As Brian suggested a sports psychologist alongside the manager. And 3pts against Millwall. Tough call Indeed.
Playing hypotheticals, I'd hope his response was: "Well after signing for the Premier League Champions I went on to represent my country at the European Championships and the World Cup. Who the **** are you guys?"
