I just asked my mate at the off licence about him. He said "best keeper whole of Poland!". So let's get behind Maverick, he's our number 1!

Haha. I have a Polish mate (who I converted into a Saints fan!!) and he says if Boruc got himself fit and playing regularly he should be playing for Poland. However he won't as the FA haven't really forgiven him for what he said about them and the manager.

He actually laughed at the sarcastic cheers or was he laughing at himself?, I haven't a clue tbh.
 
As I said on another thread. Unless we bring in a new keeper we have to give him a chance. After that early fumble he looked pretty composed although he didn't have that much to do.

Have you seen Davis performances over the years?, performances in the past mean nothing a keeper can go down hill fast.
 
I'm amazed he hasn't been given more of a chance before now because he's definitely the most skilled keeper we have.

Love the Top Gun comparison, too.

True but we have seen Boruc's capabilities and they surpass Davis'. We all have a ceiling (loosely) to our abilities, from what I have seen of Boruc his is higher and I don't think he is too old to be able to realise that potential again.

He is our best keeper even if he is mad, still think we will buy a new keeper as Adkins clearly isn't happy.
 
I think the next few games will be Boruc's shot, the timing may not be a coincidence. May have told him this was his opportunity to go out there and take hold of the no.1 spot otherwise a new keeper was coming in and he'd be out on his ear in the summer. That's what I'd have told him, anyway.

Makes sense to me. We know what KD can do. Gazza is for the future. If Boruc shows he can do a job will save us some money.
 
At the game I obviously couldn't see his face, but on the MOTD highlights, man... his eyes made me think he was on the old Afghan Kush.

Ok I will rephrase. It is the Southampton fans on this board I base my opinion on and not all of you but the majority of you seem to be exactly the way I said. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and to be bullied and picked on for having one doesn't say much for most of you

I think it's to late for that and our scouts are already on the look out, but he should be no1 until a new keeper comes in.
