I think we can get some points of Man City, while I think a draw is a possibility. I'm going to have a fiver on us to win, got more chance of winning with this bet that the Lottery.

My theory is that Man City will (rightly) believe that they have superior quality players in every position on the pitch and will therefore try to impose their style of play on us and not worry too much about it being the other way round. If they do that and let us play from the back without pressuring then we may be in with a shout.

Teams like Norwich & Stoke may have been more concerned about us dominating possession and put measures in to stop it from happening. Playing better sides seems to suit us more?

Fulham were very impressive in their demolition of Wolves and seemed to be playing out from the back with the centre-backs splitting a la Swansea. Looking forward to that game as well.

Come on now lads, don't you think our boys will want a good crack at the team that beat us first game of the season? hell we put in a better shift away that game than did Manu at old Traford, think we need to be a bit more positive, I'm sure our lads will be up for this game big time, Man City are not invincible yet! We can do it....................

The lads will be well up for this. The league leaders at Fortress LIberty.

1-1. Siggi and Aguero with the goals.

ANyone heard wether we are appealing Dyer's red card?

We are not appealing it in case Dyer gets more heavily punished. Imo, the letter of the law was correctly applied in terms of his tackle but the spirit was certainly missing. Dyer is proven not to be a dirty player, both players had a foot off the ground and contact was minimal. I think the ref grabbed an opportunity to ingratiate himself with Wigan after that farce with the corner kick in a previous game.

Agreed. Mariner was looking for any excuse. My heart was in my mouth every time one of their players got near our box. Thankfully that wasn't too much.
