Stop talking nonsense. The only reason Norwich went back up was because they nicked an exceptional manager off of Colchester - who would've taken them up if not you. Without Lambert then Lawrenson's prediction of League Two football may have come to pass.

Incredibly, I know this will shock you, not every side that's been relegated out of the Championship has then been promoted straight back up to the Prem in two seasons!

JWM yeah I think I would struggle to cope with another year like the past few. Literally this time last year I was completely at a horrified at what ITFC had become. The past couple of seasons I haven't been to half as many matches as I used to because value for money entertainment wise was the worst I have ever known, I'd rather spend my money on something else. It literally felt like ITFC wasn't the same club. But I think entertainment will improve this season. After going the other night even though we were bad it was a fairly entertaining game, Southampton were superb and we weren't defensive. The first 20 minutes of the 2nd half we player some pretty decent stuff and it was the most excited I have been at a football match for a good few years, even the crowd got behind the team which I think shows that the standard of football has improved.

Superman, we just needed to get players in and they're all good players, we need experience and youth, we basically have needed a whole new team. And if I'm right you had a goalkeeper who you weren't going to keep when you got promoted? We need both long term and short term fixes.

yorkie, as per usual, you take everything so damn seriously! you clearly haven't read any of the thread properly and have merely scanned over the bits you wish to read. i was merely stating that for certain clubs the drop to league one has been hugely beneficial and will continue to be so in future seasons. it was actually a pretty interesting thread until you stuck your oar in. ah well...

to be fair though, you are right about lambert. however, he wasn't the catalyst for our success, appointing mcnally was. without him we would be in league two! but we wouldn't have got him had we not dropped a division - the club were happy to just potter along with a CEO who had no idea about football in the mid to lower reaches of the championship, paying big wages to ex-premier league players looking for their final pay day, with little to no motivation or care for the club.

    sound familiar?

"Marcus Evans the mystery man has now got to talk to the fans directly and come out publically and share his vision for the club and more importantly how he plans to get us promoted."

No, he hasn't. ITFC are a rich man's toy, a vanity project that he appears to be tiring of. He's a multi millionaire and really couldn't give a flying fig what you, Joe Public, thinks one way or another. He expected Keane to have him in the Prem now and all the kudo's that would accrue. It hasn't happened, and he'll be getting bored sometime soon. As usual it's the 'real' supporters, not the rich guys buying baubles, that suffer.:emoticon-0149-no:
