They went under because of issues unrelated to Redknapp.

i know its hard what with squidgy's court case being prohibited from being reported on by the press, but read up on it. he is a ALLEGEDLY a dirty crim, backhanding, dodging tax, tapping up players etc etc

To the person who said we made Peter Crouch world class. I think you better look at his career again, never played for Spurs at the beginning of his career went off on loan, then moved to QPR. He only became well known after Liverpool bought him off Southampton when he started to put in good performances. I don't think you can claim that Spurs made him world class. Just Saying.

 

Redknapp's court case is irrelevant to the situation at Portsmouth.
Gaydamak and Storrie are responsible for that.

Yes it is.
If Redknapp was allowed to do anything dodgy financially at Portsmouth, then he shouldn't have been.
Storrie should've prevented it as it was his job to do so.
Even if he somehow pocketed millions, he still would've made the club massive profits on his transfers, plus their on-field exploits, anyway.

This thread was started because I was pretty pissed off with Arsenal and Spurs forever trying to get their hands on the nippers in our academy (how is that for a bit of Southampton speak and I'm not even a Sotonian). It would appear that Spurs Academy has improved conciderably and while they have eight players in the PL from their Academy we have eleven. What interests me as someone who is a bit of an Arsenal fan is that no one from that club has commented on this thread.

So the question now is:

Why is Arsenal's Acadamy crap?

 

And which one of them was supposed to be looking after the money?
You know, as his job?
