I think he's actually about even on transfers, possibly up a little after the last window, we've got a much smaller wage bill than the teams around us, we're doing well and the kids are still getting some games.
They may not be playing in the league, but they're playing in the Carling Cup (though we went out to Stoke on penalties) and they're playing in Europe.
Why would we want to change that?

 

That wouldn't happen at Man U. And I don't know if Jack Cork ever had a first teams start for Chelsea, but at this stage I'd say he has great potential. He plays for us in case you didn't know

It has happened at Man Utd.
They have about 3 youth players in their squad at the moment, in Welbeck, Cleverly and Gibson.

Thats what I meant. There is always few players from the academy playing in the first team.

 

Of course it's a massive difference.
That's why we use the Carling Cup and various loan deals.
If a player isn't good enough for those competitions, then he won't be good enough for the Premier League.

How many of our 25 man squad are Spurs youth players?
Just King.
You'll find that that's not too different to most of the sides around us, though.

 

Gibson has yet to feature this season, so Man Utd have one more youth product who's played in the league than us this season, so far.

 

the point is, ledley king is what nearly 30? in the last ten years you havent produced another player of premier league quality that you have kept, doesnt that worry you?

King is 30.
We've produced other players that have been Premier League quality, Peter Crouch for example.
They haven't made the grade at Spurs though, for the most part.

Our academy hasn't been up to scratch, but it appears that we're improving it a lot at the moment.
We're using the loan system well and supplementing our youth squad with talent from elsewhere, too.

cant wait to see what happens when the new FA academy rules/ UEFA finance laws come in, we'll be laughing all the way to the premier league. you'll have a squad of about 50 players most of whom are ****e on ridiculous wages and be dealing with numerous court cases on "financial irregularities" for good old squidgy.

Our wage bill is roughly half of our revenue and your bitterness about Redknapp is about as helpful as your petty comments about Londoners.

He's overachieved with every club he's been at so far, with the exception of your lot.
I've gone over this about a million times in the past though, so I'm sure you'll forgive me if I don't do it again.
