It's not a public holiday in Germany either, so I`m going to have to try to keep up with events the best I can on my laptop. Why couldn't they play it at the weekend and move their poxy champions league final to another day.
I'm suddenly feeling quite depressed about this game. I started to imagine how I will feel if we lose and I have been too successful. I keep reminding myself that we have done so much better than anyone, including the players, expected, but it has been no consolation. We are so close to ending an amazing season on a high that losing would be shattering, but one team has to lose and Palace are a good side or they wouldn't be in the final. They overcame Brighton away, much to my surprise, so they should not be taken lightly. I just hope we play well and don't have a Leeds type disappointment. Or, come to that, the sort of disappointment that Leicester fans must still be feeling.
Here is a review of our two meetings with Palace this season. The line-up for the first game of the season is interesting. http://www.watford.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=319946
Thanks for posting the goals from the previous playoff. I don't think I saw the Bolton match and I think this is the first time I have seen the goals. More of the same please on the 27th. We have funny holidays up here in Scotland, local, public, bank and different in every region. Why do we have them anyway? Just add them to our leave allowance so we can take them when we want!
Really hacked off! I received a text from one of Mr H's friends today. He's a Man U supporter. Told me he had tickets with a client in the Watford end, club Wembley. Then proceeded to slag off my team, tell me Zaha would 'rip our defense to shreds', went on about loanees...etc etc. Honestly, if he'd been standing next to me, i'd have hit him. I told him to sit up the other end of the Stadium and to give his tickets to someone who cared about Watford. He then went on to tell me he had no intention of doing that, because he used to rate Zola and quite liked Elton John!! He is definitely off the Christmas card list!!!
Nice article on the official site from my old friend Nick Wright, talking about 'that goal'... http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/130521-nick-wright-830147.aspx

More from Holloway. He sounds frightened in this one. I also love the reader's comment. http://www.london24.com/sport/champ...d_and_become_a_man_utd_match_winner_1_2205942
My team with him in it are a very, very good team,” he said. “But without the other players in the team then Wilf wouldn’t look half as good. “I don’t think his strength is always wining the ball back, so unless we do that and give it back to him he can’t really do much. “He just needs to be left alone to play as his talent is so fresh and real and exciting and exhilarating,” continued Holloway. “He will go wrong [sometimes] but I don’t care. Whatever he does wrong [against Watford], I believe he might do enough right to get us what we need. “That would be wonderful for him and his family and everybody at Palace because we feel we are losing a family member, he is so etched into this club. “But by not facilitating him going I don’t think I would have been doing Palace fans any favours whatsoever. What would he be like now? How would he feel if we had held him back and stopped that, if we had been selfish? “I think we will see him pay us back [against Watford] and it will be a bonus for us if he can play well in a situation like this. “We’ll need him to because he is a huge part of what we do.” It's nonsensical! read the subtext of this.... We need Zaha..... and he is hit and miss.... and without him we are not very good!
It always bugs me a bit the 'richest game in world' tag. If we win I will be celebrating our success and because we have reached the top league and will be playing against the top teams next season (and Cardiff!!)? Not because we are suddenly rich. Great article though.
Good luck on Monday - I think you'd have difficulty finding a fan of any other team supporting Palace and their annoying tendency to fall over at every opportunity. It's a great day out if you win so all the very best!
why do i feel so calm. Almost verging on the not excited! Hmm, must be coz i'm having one of my less pozzotive days. Yep, that'll be it. Must admit, with all the Zaha fuss, i hope Bolasie doesn't slip under the training radar, he's a better player imho.
Apparently I have become unbearable at work as I am so hyped up about this. The only problem is the week is dragging by soooooo slowly. Im like a kid in a sweet shop at Christmas.
i was like that for Leeds and Leicester...can't find it for this match. Not sure if it was the ticket fiasco that started it, but since then, it's gone. I'm hoping it'll come back soon..i don't know anyone less excited than me!
You just wait, the weekend will get here and then you will find it. The tickets arriving has not helped me.
