I never said he shouldn't have been banned. Infact I don't know if he deserved to get banned and I don't really care. He's a good poster on this board and aslong as he's allowed to keep contributing here I'm happy.

Just read the BBC match report.
It basically says Spurs played poorly and that West Brom were robbed of at least 2 pens, 1 goal and a send off.
Anyone care to comment on this as I haven't seen the game yet.

I had to go out. Ensil,I too said a one goal win and we were both as near as possible to it. A 93rd minute goal counts yes but after 90 minutes it was 1-2 so a moral victory to both of us.
BLOODY ADEBAYOR. I posted that after 6 matches without that he needed to score and would probably start scoring again but I wish he'd stop the brown trousers stuff. The penalty and the misses were worrying me but after today the jury is 11-1 in favour of not guilty of complacency. A good win at a ground where we don't win by two goals too often. That's three on the trot by two goals and better is coming in the next 6 matches. I'm deliriously happy especially as Utd are showing signs of weakening. Chelsea didn't add to their first half score and Wolves carved them open. Arsenal almost lost and Newcastle play Chelsea and they can't both get three points whereas we will next week. Come on Liverpool tomorrow,we can catch the leaders soon.

The author of the article is called Arindam Rej.
If you put his name into Google, then the second suggested word after blog is Arsenal.
    Says it all, really.

Why are BBC getting 14 year olds to do their match reports?

Saving money since their move to Manchester, I guess.
Perhaps they could have their bullshit sponsored by Man City or Etihad?
They might be able to afford some decent demogogy, then.

HI PL, when you see the game, you'll see that BBC report is wrong as a summary. All the major decisions re goals and pens were correct. We had more possession, more attempts on and off target and more corners, IIRC. We deserved to win, as we gave them a torrid time in the second half when they couldn't keep up the pace and pressure they applied in the first, where they were the better team.

Overall, WBA played well, but we were the superior team and in the end our class told. Though for sure had the ref buckled under the crowd's pressure it would have been a different story, so in ways he was our MOTM, but none of his decisions were wrong, just fair under intense pressure.

I'm running out of superlatives for Spurs, so I'll content myself with repeating that this is the best Spurs side ever in absolute terms, and in relative terms one of the best, though to prove it we need to win a trophy. Even with six international players out, we still fielded a team of 11 full internationals, amazing stuff.

It would have been a different story had Ade not scored the penalty. The goalkeeper stopped it and almost stopped it a second time. It was not a convincing penalty take. Defoe's goal was excellent with a smart little back heel right in front of him to go on and score. As the commentator said of Ade's third"Not a convincing goal" as it hit the keeper again. He said Ade could have scored 4 or 5. Harry wasn't happy with the first half performance from Spurs as he said so I think we should all enjoy this but just come down out of the Cirrus a bit.
As for Bolton if we don't completely thrash them then we want our arses kicking.
