it's a funny old game. Looking calm, assured and completely in control at 2-0. Then a mistake by Clyne (feel on reflection that Lovren simply fell over) and we look ragged and desperate. Not as bad as Sherwood does though
Yeah, and I wasn't aware that one's shin could foul someone's studs, either. Mini-Webb hasn't had too many decisions, but he seems to have gotten a couple of them wrong...oh well, didn't end up getting punished from it.
Need Ramirez on. The Spurs defence has given Rickie loads of space, hence why he's been really good today.
The thing that worries me is that I don't think spurs can be as bad in the second half as they were in the first
Rickie did a thing early on that only Rickie seems capable. He stood there, just outside the Spurs penalty area, at the nearest corner to the camera, with the ball, and just suggested he'd be passing it almost immediately. He was there was several seconds and nobody tackled him. He does this time and again in games, and I love it. It shows that opposition players respect him so much they dare not commit themselves because he'll punish them with a killer pass [or a shot if he's close enough].
I'd like to see Jayrod's disallowed goal. At first glance, it looks miles offside but I wonder about the full back on the other side to Jay Rod. I thought he played him on.
