    1-1

Conceded from poor defending at a set-piece- last season all over again - and we've lost a bit of composure now :(

    Another shoddy performance.
The team look disinterested and sluggish.
I hope Redknapp gives them a right kick up the arse at half-time, because that's just not good enough.

Friedel's distribution has been **** today.

I won't be surprised if Redknapp brings on Defoe for Lennon at half-time.
Our shape may suffer if he does, but the second half of that half was just crap.

sandro should come on for vdv, it worked against arsenal to take the sting out the game.
blackburn are looking dangerous when they get balls into the box

Well that was a poor performance, wasn't it?

Whenever we focused, got on the ball and used it intelligently, we looked a far superior side, but the desire just didn't seem to be there and our defending was shambolic, at times.
Van der Vaart took his goals well.
Erm, that's about it for us.
Samba and Hoilett looked good for them.
Wouldn't mind nicking them in January.

    Yeah, Hoilett looked good,

I thought we should have brought Sandro on straight after we retook the lead. Adebayor needed a boot up the arse, he never really looked bothered and I felt sorry for Defoe only getting a couple of token minutes at the end.

A return for Taraabt next week and we'll need to sharpen up, we can't keep scraping wins.

Why do we always make it so hard for ourselves. Not enough passion today and agree we needed Sandro on after we went 2-1 up to stop Blackburns flow in midfield.Well i'm sure we will all happily take the win from a game we honestly didn't deserve to win.Hoilett would be a great signing for us.

Adebayor wasn't at his best SF, but he got virtually no service or support for long periods of the game.
We desperately needed some leadership out there today and it showed how badly King's absence has cost us.
The sooner we get him or Gallas back the better.

The obvious question then, of course, is what to do when Hudds is fit - Modric on the left with Bale at left back is the obvious way to do it, but then we'd risk exposing our left flank as well as wasting Modders' best attrivbutes.

Huddlestone's going to struggle to get back into the team, Croydon.
His best bet is to perform well in the cups and try to force the issue, but it'll be very hard to dislodge some of the players that are now ahead of him, in my opinion.

Redknapp stated in his post-match interview with the BBC that Sandro had a strain and wasn't risked, though the Brazilian wanted to take a fitness test.
Our medical staff said that any aggravation could have put him out for weeks.
If this is true, then why was he on the bench, especially as we had Livermore available?

A draw would have been a fair result. Blackburn are far better than the bottom club though. Don't "they" say that if you keep getting results when you're not playing well its the sign of a good team? I've no idea if "they" are right, I've always suspected that the explanation was trotted out when a more logical reason couldn't be thought of. We shall see. I don't think we were that great in the past three games, but we got through (with the rather large minus of losing King of course), so generally very happy, particularly after the first two games.
