So do man city, man utd, chelsea and even liverpool. Basically my opinion is that we have not been significantly strengthened to break away from the continuous cycle of implosion when it really matters. If you disagree with that then fair enough. But I will not accept the myopic and delusions beliefs that everything will be alright in the original post I disagreed with.
for season upon season upon season EVERYONE has said we need a big, tall, strong experienced centreback to go with our smaller ball players = Mertesaker. Clichy has slowly been getting more and more shocking = Replaced with a great attacking skillfull fullback (considering our width comes mainly from the fullbacks) Santos. Experience needed in our midfield, aswell as experienced backup, especially players with PL experience = Arteta + Benayoun. Need a more direct speedier attacker = Gervinho. End of the day we may never replace fabregas, who can?! but our signings etc will mean a more spread attacking and defending responsibility. it stops the stop fabregas/fabregas having a bad game = stopping arsenal. Yea we're not gonna be fighting for the title (or its highly unlikely) but come summer we can get another player or 2, and be right back in it!
