As a Liverpool fan i'm pretty confident we will finish above you this season. That's how far you have fallen.

I'd pretty confidently have most of our players ahead of most of yours. Again, that's how far things have changed.

Realistically, Only Wilshere is close to or will be world class out of your whole squad. Most of them are poor quality or very mentally fragile (which i would put down to your manager and they way they train).

I would be very surprised if he is still in charge next season.

If you were a real supporter of Arsenal you would realize that ever since Wenger arrived, including the season of the "invicibles", and the double year, we have been told by fans of every other club and journalists, that we were crap and going to fall out of the top 4. This is nothing new and getting irritated about it is the height of folly.

We will be challenging for titles this year just like any other year. Losing 8-2 at OT is not nice but not a whole lot worse than losing 1-0, in terms of progress. The 0-2 loss to Liverpool is really much worse, but it is only one loss.

Many Arsenal fans may be upset, but most of you aren't qualified to run a football team and your judge of player ability and player potential is not to be trusted. I saw somewhere that we should have signed Parker because he is an outstanding leader, yet the guy has failed to get anywhere with every team he has been is, barely made the England team and has just been relegated. On top of that, he is getting on. However signing the international Captain of Korean Republic is not a good leader and a poor signing, because he just got relegated.

For me, I'm reasonably happy. If we do well, the tears from the other fans are going to be really sweet, and if we don't do well, we still have a fair bit of money to have another go, next year. And really that is the point here. The management didn't go "all in". We made a decent fist of it, without sacrificing our ability to make another shot next year.

I seem to remember bob malcolm getting a game at rangers ahead of charlie adam (your all probibly saying bob who right? Exactly) if you think calibre of signing is going to get back into the top 4, you're a hell of an optimistic chap

Yes..we never really signed a world class player in their prime. Every player that has come to us was either "full of potential" or was unwanted at their previous club. So the people who whine about these signings have no clue.

Even when we were winning everything in sight, we weren't doing mega-deals. Some of the fans just follow the media craze. I can remember thinking Ljunberg who?

I think the season before our Invincibles, we were trying to sign Miguel Angulo (back when Valencia was our European bogey team)..and we couldn't even agree a fee for that guy.. lol

Ok I will elaborate jayram :)

Every year a few journalists say we may drop out of the top 4 as they do for every champions league team. I don't see it as part of some media bias, its just that some writers want to get noticed so say something different to everyone else.

We are very unlikely to be challenging for titles this year as our squad is (in my opinion) marginally weaker than it was last year whereas everyone else has strengthened. I don't see us being at the level of either man city or man utd. I have absolutely no idea how you think that 8-2 vs man utd is a better result than 2-0 vs liverpool either.

The 'your not a football manager so your opinion is not valid' line that you are taking doesn't really apply in this situation I feel, as there have been a lot of odd and occasionally inexplicable decisions made this summer. Our transfer business has been rather haphazard as seen by Wenger changing his mind 3 times in over whether to keep Nasri or not. You mention signing Park, and whilst I like what I have heard about him he is nowhere near the 'super quality' that Wenger said he would try to bring in. It is players of the level of Mata and Falcao (both available this summer) that would make us title challengers, not him.

Another thing I don't understand about you post was that you think its good that we didn't go all in this summer. Why is next year any better than this year? After seeing the team get close and then bottle it for the last 3-4 years don't you want the management to do something dramatic about it? If we just didn't have the money then fair enough but we did! I don't see how you can be happy with the state we are in at the moment if you remember how good we used to be a relatively short time ago.

I honestly believe our squad is stronger than last year.We have improved in central defence,Santos can be no worse than Clichy, lets be fair Fabregas' heart wasn't in it last season and we only got 1/2 a season out of Nasri.

But is it strong enough to challenge? At the end of the transfer window we should have been in a position to do so in my opinion, the fact that man city and man utd are way better than us annoys me a lot.
