Agree with this. Yes I hoped for something from Wigan but most people expected us to get spanked by Manchester and we weren't!
Fair enough on the goal difference, yes many will get spanked by the top 4, but with our attack outweighing our defence i think we will fine on points and GD anyways (saints tinted glasses). But there is no other way to treat 0 points from 3! They were tough fixtures, cruel putting Wigan between the two Manc sides, made it seem like an easy game between the two. We're in the Premier League treat Wigan like you treat any other side. All capable of blinders and shockers on the same day and i think we lacked experience there. But i do agree we have outperformed expectation, where I live in predominantly Brighton territory many are shocked at our early form and suprised we wernt whipping boys, not a lot to go on, but others are seeing us with potential and not the negativity that is for some reason raging over the Southampton forums!
Don't frequent SWF if you value your sanity! Awful place. The 3 games we've played are some of the toughest we'll have all season and I can certainly see positives to take from them even if we didn't get the points. IMO we can get something out of Arsenal.
