please log in to view this image Ok Dyer might not have the best end result but he can skin a man and works hard including defending well. If he was playing in front of Konchesky (who has got a decent cross) then we might see him overlapping more because Dyer can slot in behind him and not leave us exposed at the back. A choice between Johnson and King has to be Johnson, King scores goals but is anonymous for the most part whereas Johnson can score goals and also influences the game. Subs: Howard, Schlupp, SSL, King, Danns
Bristol City'll be coming to scrap and scrape and try to pull a result out by any means necessary. Fernandes, although incredibly tidy and hardworking, isn't a 'scrapper'. I think with a midfield three of Danns, Fernandes and King, you risk losing the middle-of-the-park battle and increasing the chances of Bristol City getting a proper foothold into the game. Personally, I can't justify dropping Wellens, especially not for tonight's game.
In a 3 man midfield I'd struglle to make an argument for either Abe or Danns starting, Abe for reasons I have said and Danns hasn't done much so far, King is surely going to start tonight.
with a 3 man midfield, you could do with the defender, the box-to-box and attacking- fernades holds, wellens box-to-boxes and kind/danns creates.
Agreed. I'd personally choose King over Danns tonight. I just feel confident that against a weak opposition like me babbers King will rip them apart. I wouldn't drop Wellens, in a lot of matches he's the only one who can string a pass together. What we need is something worth making a pass for tonight.
