You're right of course although I'm sure we were about 3rd though after 10 games, which I'd consider a pretty flying start to the season.
TSS I suggest hanging this on the wall and staring at it before dropping of to a lovely sleep. Things just don't get better until we give saggy face some pain next week
Absolutely delighted with that. Credit to Swans made us look like chumps till Bony felt his presence was more useful elsewhere. Nice to see us winning the hard way..all too often we couldnt hang on during games like this. Gardos looked really good and chuffed for Vic. Quick question. When was the last time we won 4 in a row in the top flight?
Gritty performance and due respect to the Swans, quality footballing team. Shame Bony lost his head and tried to murder Yoshi!!!!! Second in the EPL.... I'm getting a nose bleed. LoL
Be nice to outplay the opposition all game, but good to be able to soak it up, then turn it around in the second half. There will always be games like that, even for teams like City and Chelsea. To paraphrase Napoleon, sometimes it is better to have a lucky general than a good one.
Who knows. Agree though he doesn't seem the type (though I think he should have started today as it happens).
While creating the table image previously, I came across the time last season when Saints hit second place: please log in to view this image However, this was a live table, at the time, where all the teams were playing their 13th game. Saints ended up in a lower position. Today is the highest ever position Saints have achieved in Liebherr era. EDIT: BTW, just to confirm, this is last season. But Garth Crooks just called us Extraordinary..!
That was what the commentators were suggesting anyway, and if that was the reason, you gave to say he has a point. On the other hand, bringing him on seems to work wonders as well, so who are we to criticise Koeman?
Nice point from Claridge. The job Koeman is doing is making a lot of the excuses managers use about new teams look like total bollocks. (he didn't say it exactly like that, natch)
Tbf, Koeman said himself that he been surprised how quickly Saints had settled down. I put it down to the fact that the right players have not only been brought in, but have had a good team to be slotted into. I think we all bought in to the idea that we had been left with a lot of poor players...we weren't.
