I can!!
On another thread you said Rangers played some really good passing football Brix...can't have it both ways mate...rather contradictory!!
We out-passed Swansea in the 2nd half and not many teams, even top half sides will do that!!

QPR deserved the point and possibly more. Losing Agustien from midfield because of Rangel's injury (dirty tackle!) cost us. Does Rodgers really believe Moore is a better player than Dobbie? <yikes> An absolutely shocking decision. He's lethargic, can't control the ball and has no upper body strength. When he inevitably lost the ball he'd just shrug his shoulders and showed no desire to win it back. Really really poor.

For the first time this season I'm worried. We simply have to get more strength in depth in January to allow for injuries. We also have to show more attacking intent, especially when we're ahead. Yet again we look terrified of pressing in case we lose possession, god forbid. Echoes of Sousa are still reverberating through this team unfortunately.

As for Britton, let's not forget it was his howler that cost us the goal. For me the two shining lights were Agustien who bossed the midfield until he was repositioned and Graham who took his goal superbly and put in a real shift even though he was horribly isolated.

What happens in January on and off the pitch is going to define our season for sure.

Glad to see I'm not the only person who saw it like that... unless it was sarcasm?!

I'm not saying it's an ineffective way of playing either. By playing that way it means the other team are unable to play the way they normally do, get pulled into trying to mimic the "aggressors" tactics (which they are obviously less drilled in) and ultimately they lose the match.

QPR have some seriously good players now, and with one or two more would have a hell of a team. Something one of my mates brought up was the possibility that soon QPR will have outgrown Warnock do you think? I wouldn't have him down as a top half PL manager...

The 2nd half of the season will define Warnock's future, the squad we have was put together before and after the takeover of the club, you got Graham because tight-wad Ecclestone wouldn't meet the price, that and other denials seriously undermined our squad building until the last ten days of the window when we were picking up what was still available. From January onwards it will be solely Warnock's choices that make or break our season...

Ah agreed. I'm no fan of Warnock, but he got dicked in the transfer window and was lucky to get anyone! I fully expect you guys to sign a few quality players, but there's always the risk dealing big in January, that the squad doesn't gel and that it actually makes things worse! Do you think the "powers that be" are looking at different managerial options depending where you finish this season? If you stay up, possibly a more experienced, footballing manager would be ideally suited, whereas if you did get relegated Warnock would be, in fairness (and it's been proven) the ideal man for the job!

Apologies for appearing to contradict myself - but that's precisely my point. Stylistically Rangers seem to be in transition. This is what I wrote on your thread 'Today's Game':

'...Our (largely Championship) team competed well. Interesting fusion of the two styles we've been developing this season: the slick, quick, pass and move we started against Toon; and the 'in yer face' upsetting job that worked so well against Chelsea.

If we can keep that blend working - and mature it as we go, you never know, it could become our hallmark and a force to be reckoned with...'.

Now d'you see my point about a wrecking strategy Col? That part of our game certainly seemed to upset Swans' tidy game play yesterday. Nothing wrong with that but certainly, as Scott says, a factor. I want to see how we develop it. Never did Wimbledon any harm and we seem to be combining it with the pass and move I was speaking of. Interesting.

All the signs are that it’s a love-in between Warnock and the owners atm. After getting through a whole raft of managers in a short space of time under the old Ecclestone / Briatore regime, Neil Warnock brought stability to his side of the club, as the new owners are doing on their side.

I think we’re beginning to see Warnock’s limitations at this level but most Rs, including the owners, are so grateful for his contribution to date, we all want to give him the time to settle and improve on his abilities.

Might not work but well worth a try imho.

I got your point mate. I just don't agree with the rugby analogy. You agreed with that, which stated that one side were all flair and the other were all "in your face".
Of course we need to be both. Barcelona are the best passing team on earth....BUT they are also one of the best "pressing" teams!!
