Got here a bit late, but reading through the comments, what a wonderful thread it's been.

If Carlsberg did threads, they wouldn't get close to this one. Some great comments from fans of both teams, borne out of a mutual respect for what our teams have achieved on a limited budget.

Compere this with the other promoted team who wanted to buy success, and whose fans respected nobody.

Thrilled we won, and think we'll be safe now, but sincerely hope the Swans will be too (I'm sure they will).

Always a pleasure to plagiarise from Procul Harem who robbed it from Bach in the first place.

Now, please do us poor Swans a favour and stop posting on this. We have had some good banter but need some time to mourn

Give us a day please. PS you guys have been cool and would be welcome on our site anytime

What a great bunch The Swans have been.IMHO a toss up between them and The Mackems for away fans of the season. Wooden spoon, well three letters come to mind, all next to each other in the alphabet in case you thought WBA.

Lets not forget we have a home cup tie against a Championship side to come next Saturday. Two more wins in the cup and its a Wembley visit and maybe one more. Then the week after that its the best team for the last 20 years coming to town.
And this is happening without worrying about fixture congestion or we need to win this or else.

The thread between us and Sunderland was the only one I had to close! Haha.

After a chance to think about the game, what's clear is that if the Swans aren't 100% on their game, we'll be punished physically in the centre of the park. If we aren't using our passing to retain possession, one on one against any team in the division we'll struggle, especially so against a side who play with the desire that Norwich do. We can't complain, Norwich were the better side on the day, but I'm still massively confident of survival now. There are 5 teams within 2 points of each other, and surely neither of us can now be dragged back into the mire?

Anyone else see Lineker's cheeky mention of Norwich chasing Europe?

Thought we missed more passes than we completed yesterday. As good as Norwich were we were poor.

It can be a bit confusing as well, Sky has the possession down as 55-45 in favour of Swansea while BBC has it down 47-53 in favour of Norwich. Stats like shots on target etc are always open to interpretation but surely something like possession should be the same across the board?

You'd think so. After years of compiling stats, I can honestly say you should never, ever trust BBC stats for anything. I don't know what service they use but I've been to games where we must have had 60%+ of the ball only for BBC to make it 51/49. Daft.

Did Alan Shearer actually say anything on MOTD. For most of the programme Hanson did all the talking and Shearer just sat there nodding like the twat he is!

Why is he a twat? Thought both pundits were complimentary of both teams to be fair (despite us not deserving praise yesterday). What more do you want?

Kamara said on Sky this morning that the game could have gone either way. I suppose he's right in as much that Swansea could have scored in the last ten minutes. However, as a match I believe we dominated nearly throughout.
One thing that amuses me is that no matter what the team and their style of football, if you're one down with ten to play, its everybody up field and launch it into the box.

Sadly. this biggest, loudest muppet in our village is a die hard Canary. He's hated by everybody and take great pleasure in winding people up, so next time I see him, I'll be happy, not.

Understandable though. You can have oodles of possession and pass around in neat little triangles but with the clock running down those principles get abandoned in the quest for an equaliser/winner.

A couple of Swans fans said much earlier on here that they tend not to bother too much about having a plan b, as plan a works 95% of the time. Norwich managed to disprove that theory in the last five minutes - plus five <yikes> minutes of added time at the end.

Fabulous advert for the EPL, congrats to both managers, teams and sets of fans <ok>

It is time we got a plan B as you proved yesterday, we don't have it our own way all the time at home. Great game though, and not too disheartened we lost.

More of a team picking problem than a plan " B " problem jash , but it's only an opinion .

I believe that the keyboard player was trying to copy something that the great Jaques Loussier did with one of Bach's cantatas, but didn't get it right. However the rest liked it so it stayed in.
