Where would we have finished if Wanyama had played every game?

Lower. He has a bad first touch, poor positioning and can't pass. All my debating about him was bollocks really; I was wrong. :) he's rubbish.

Let's not over-rate Wanyama, either. We had some other injuries that also weakened our defense. It would be just as wrong to say that Cork is better on attack simply because he got to play when Rodriguez was healthy and much improved.

Cork played well in Wanyama's absence. I don't know why the midfield is such a constant source of debate. We have a bunch of good, hardworking midfielders and during the course of next season we will need them all. We don't have to pick just two, and we don't have to try and play all three or four.

We need a striker and/or attacking mid/wing guy, and a CB. You can shuffle the midfield all you want and the results will be pretty much the same because they are all very good, but none of them is a CB, striker, or attacking mid/wing.

All I'm saying is, he's the best player in the history of time. I don't think that's overdoing it.

I'm not over rating him, just got fed up to the back teeth of people who just couldn't see his importance to the team, based on the fact he isn't silky skilled or a great passer. It just showed a lack of understanding to me.

You say he's not silky skilled but I've not seen Morgan or Cork come out with a Marseille Roulette.

I've not seen them on the floor, keep possession and then jump up and go between two players, a la last week, either.

When do Kenya next play a game? I've never seen Vic play for them.

Really? You're including jwp and Ramirez?

Actually scrap that, you know little. They play as the defensive unit!

He isn't wrong. While we're never going to rely on those players for goals by the bushel, the ball does fall to those midfielders in good positions with enough frequency that we need them to score on occasion, to force teams to close them out and consequently leave more space for our more prolific goalscorers.

I have only seen wanyama have chances from 30 yards. Ramirez and jwp haven't had the games to get the goals. Cork and schneiderlin get few chances but rarely take, especially cork but we can't expect them to score.

Davis should be scoring more as he plays in an advanced position.

The only fixtures I can find are games against the Comoros on the 16th and 30th of May. God knows when they'll next play a game that we can watch - AFCON qualifiers maybe?
