Great article, Chris. Don't really disagree with any of it. Dobbie was unusually disappointing when he came on but he's not going to step up if he's only on for 15 minutes. Again Routledge played well but he will not deliver the goals we need. Most of us have faith in our Manager, and the fickle fans are really showing themselves in their true colours.

Those that expect us to give just as good account of ourselves in the Prem as we did in the Championship simply don't understand the game. Get real people, this is going to be a tough season!

Great thread, Chris, and I enjoyed it. More or less agree with what you say and I do think that Graham is getting better. He should have put the header away but I like the fact that he is getting in the right positions for a striker. He'll get one soon then watch his confidence blossom. I reckon he's good for 12+ this season.

Dobbs did disappoint. He seems to dwell on the ball when he receives it and gets dispossessed. This is a sharpness/awareness issue and I'm sure he'll sort it out. The commentator on my link mentioned that again we were being out-muscled in midfield. I looked at the clock and we were twelve minutes in. Pleased to say, though, that we improved as the game went on and Leon, in particular, had an impressive game.

Also pleasing was the way that we didn't fall off the pace on the hour mark as we did against Wigan. I know it's only a week on but we did match Sunderland all the way to the whistle. Nice to see and it's how it should be.

Can't disagree with that analysis at all Chris, good read, and pretty much as I saw it too. If I'm going to be very picky, I would have given Sinclair the extra point (9) because of his sheer determination all game to get on the score sheet, but other than that, enjoyed your summary, thanks Chris and keep up the good work, with you doing the after 'Match Report' and Scott doing the 'Matchday Threads' we are in capable hands, cheers to you both lads, I'm sure all Jacks appreciate your hard work!...............
