He hasn't played him all that frequently, save for in the cups. Guly's longest appearance of the season was the thirteen minutes against Hull, and his combined league appearances don't total a single half worth of minutes.
Guly at his best is excellent, if he hit form he would do well in the occasional game. But he hasn't been up to his old standard for a long time. His style was never dependant on speed and his vision was great so should be able to do well at this level. Maybe it's the fact that lambert is often playing deeper these days- in L1/NPC he linked up beautifully with rickie.
