I'm hoping next match but nothing concrete. Have no idea how he'll be this season: this injury could just be the beginning and he will be out of practice and start fading away or surgery could have finally fixed the issue (all his past injuries were groin related) and he'll get back up to speed. As for Meireles, I'll politely disagree in that I think we only need one CAM in our squad and we would never have a starting 11 with both meireles and gerrard in unless one of them played on the right where both are less effective (plus we have Hendo there who is coming along nicely- has just scored a screamer too for england u21). Don't get me wrong though, I'm annoyed Meireles has gone. he would have given us depth and im annoyed he went for so little to a team we're in almost direct competition with.
