When he was a potent wee trainee with us he was all speed and little brain. He actually plays better in the middle somewhere or roaming. Just don't ask him to make the long aerial pass. Glad to see he's made something of himself.

Think we should write to the FA demanding that female linesperson (dont know her name) to play only at our games, she never makes a mistake. Yesterday got another decision spot on

If there was a male linesman getting every decision right, he'd probably go unnoticed.

I thought she made a mistake yesterday, where she flagged and it was waved down, not the only one though. The yellow card for Mignolet was definitely incorrect and Phil Dowd will probably get a bollocking for that. And the West Brom free kick which was inside the area...but wasn't even a foul.

Massey got that right as well I thought, was amazed the referee allowed play to continue.

As for Mignolet, playing devil's advocate, surely what he did is no different to a defender blocking a goal with his hands (ie a red card offence)?

But on the other hand, why should it be treated any differently to a keeper picking up a backpass?

He can't be shown a card because of this:
"Inside his own penalty area a goalkeeper cannot be guilty of a handling offence incurring a direct free kick or any misconduct related to handling the ball."

Well indeed, nevertheless he was given a card. I'm just making the point that, given that, it shouldn't have been yellow.

It does appear he was 'improvising' with the rules a bit!
