I'm quite bemused in all honesty. I would've thought if we had no interest, we'd have not stated a price. That's unlike Cortese. If the story is true, which is debatable, and the tweet from the club spokesman may suggest otherwise, it could make sense for RL. Then again, he says he loves the club and part of me thinks that Rickie wants to make this World Cup, and make it by playing well for Southampton. He's not one to shirk challenges. We know Cortese does not really have much sentimentality, and if we really want Champions League football, Rickie will be pushed aside at some point. But do I see him leaving us this month? No.
Yes, nice people minding their own business and occasionally giving Nicola money. I would like to think that Markus tied it all up and put us in the Don's hands, but I doubt it as blood is thicker than water.
There is nothing being reported about this in the Chinese press. I would imagine it would be a big story over here if it were to be true.
Could be early days tho? Who really knows? All we do know is we will be brought out again in a few years.
When the report from The Telegraph said Saints had given their price to West Ham, Sibley tweeted about silly season starting early.
Nicola may never have said a price. Can't see it happening now...even if it was part of a fantastic deal where we get a great striker in January.
Its raining cats and dogs out there and howling a gale. Is there going to be a game? If there is I can imagine being anyone's game, there'll be a lot of misplaced passes and slipping over in the mud.
Of course it'll be on. Slipping over in the mud on St. Mary's, it's a pristine snooker table surface!
