We made good chances and the goalkeeper was MOTM....we will win games playing like this and, sadly, sometimes we will lose games playing like this. Overall, we will be fine and I still think we will be top half.

Take a look at the OS gallery, picture two. I don't know how to get that photo on here, but Caption Competition should be "What is Artur about to say next ...?"

I get the feeling you've posted this on the wrong thread.

Was a time when Saints V West Ham was guaranteed to be a thrilling match to watch.

But now, it feels like this...

Oh, and just how crap were the West Ham fans? They used to have a bit of humour and banter about them, but repeatedly singing Play Up Pompey was scraping the barrell banter-wise. Mind you, our fans weren't much better. Awful atmosphere (again).

You must be delighted. Made my day. All we be good now in media heaven and the Saints will rule the world.

I've been holding back with my pro-Cork comments! Wanyama, in my opinion, flatters to deceive somewhat. He seems to be on the ball all the time but nothing ever seems to happen from his possessions. He also seems to somehow inhibit Schneiderlin's play.

I would definitely have a go with last season's (top-rated) midfield.

I'm surprised people are suggesting that Lambert should be dropped. I thought he was one of our better players just getting on with it and doing what Lambert does best. He was also unlucky not to score from the header which I don't think any other player would have got near, on another day etc....

I can't advocate Rickie being dropped. He still is key to our link up lay and I just have a feeling that he and Osvaldo could soon be on the same wave length on the pitch.

I'd be dropping Jrod and Adam before Rickie.

Agreed. Rodriguez would be first for me. Would rather see Gaston than Rodriguez at the moment.

Big Vic is a beast but noticeably less mobile and slower than cork. Of all games spam would be one you would want him, although at times I felt we could have done with the work rate and energy of Cork. That shot by vic from well outside the box was class, last season we all said we needed midfielders who could shoot from distance and that was a classic example.

If that had gone in we would all be raving about big vic! I just hope cork doesn't decide to leave to get games, very underated player.

I've just put up a team thread but would be tempted to play Vic Morgan and Jack at Abnfield. Morgan further forward.

Can we do credit to West Ham too - their defence was excellent yesterday.

Yes agree with that. You have to say they were impressive at the back.

It was and a lot of teams will struggle to break them down when the Hammers are away from home.

Well that will improve their reporting of Saints games by, oh, around 0.00000000001% then.
